Yes, that one is activated. I guess it's the same as bluebell called the Monitor button.

In "Connections" I've connected Qtractor and my soundcard, and in "Track properties" I've chosen a plugin synth and a soundfont, and then this synth as instrument, but still there's no MIDI sound. Any explanation? The audio part is playing ok.

No, it's not. It has two composition modes, the track arranger and the clip mode. Either can be used with or without looping and autostretching.
