No experience with Clarett devices. They are pretty expensive and, thus, not very popular.
Seems that Clarett will require it's own Linux Kernel driver.

Re: Using Linux for live gig work - how many would trust it?
Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 + ASUS Tuf Gaming FX506-II + JACK + Ardour 6 have been used by me since the start of this year for different kind of activity: recording, playing in rehearsal room, doing live gigs. The previous configuration was Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 + Benq Joybook R56 R21 + JACK + Ardou...

Any good crowdfunding platform?
Hi folks! After some troubles with Bountysource, I finally get my crowdfunded money not possible to cash out: https://github.com/bountysource/core/issues/1553 This is not the first and, I think, not the last problem with Bountysource. I'm currently thinking on leaving this crowdfunding platform. I k...

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 2nd and 3rd Gen mixer driver
I'm currently working on LSP Plugins 1.2.0 release. When I'll have time, I'll get back to Scarlett driver and send many additions to it related to the control of internal state of the device.

Re: [Video] FOSS Limiter Shootout
I've already described my position to @unfa: 1. You also definitely need to try all knobs in ALR section since ALR works as a compressor with the infinite compression ratio. 2. The LSP does not pretend to be a 'clean' limiter. It does the job it was designed for: prevent short peaks in the audio mix...

Re: My studio PC went up in smoke...looking for an upgrade...
Purchased ASUS TUF Gaming FX506II laptop recently without the OS. Very powerful, like the Ryzen 4800H 16-core processor.
Pretty good for a pretty cheap price. I think lapop is the best option if you want to keep being mobile.

[ANN] far-screamer command-line tool
Hi folks!
Just released a new command-line tool for performing convolution processing - far-screamer.
The tool is available at GitHub as open-source software: https://github.com/sadko4u/far-screamer
Thanks to @d.healey for sponsoring the development.

Jack <-> alsa connectivity
The short description: I need to route the signal from an ALSA application to JACK and back. According to this manual: https://jackaudio.org/faq/routing_alsa.html I've performed the following configuration: pcm.rawjack { type jack playback_ports { 0 system:playback_1 1 system:playback_2 } capture_po...

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 2nd and 3rd Gen mixer driver
@geoffrey I'm currently thinking that combining gen2 and gen3 drivers together was not very good idea. From my side I was required to refactor the driver many times to match the new hardware but it still requires refactoring since the implementation of different gen3 devices isn't perfect. So the ma...

Re: CLI convolution reverb
I can implement a command-line tool based on the convolution processor of the LSP.
The same processor is already used in timbre-mill and room-raider tools.
Hope you're happy with them.

Re: Focusrite Scarlett Gen 3 4i4 (and others)
I'm thinking on adding support of 4i4 driver here: https://github.com/sadko4u/focusrite-scarlett-backports But I found that without the physical device it will take a lot of time spent for communication with people who have this device. So I think I want to crowdfund the money for purchasing the 4i4...

Re: Looking for full-time job
When its done, you can send a link to all plugin reviewers on YouTube and daw/studio magazines. We can all help you. Those plugins would look good in a magazine 8) when they read that it's "free" I think most people would go and download them. Maybe 3-7 of 100 will be like, what the heck ...

Re: Looking for full-time job
That's sad :| Linux audio production is small, what if you're awesome LSP plugins could reach an more wider audience and get more advertised on platforms like mac and windows, but still have the roots on linux and being open source. I'm working on that but that still requires many things to do. The...
