thanx sysrqer. i never knew that i could install cinnamon on kde kxstudio. thats made a huge difference in me liking kx studio. i really like kx studio now :D

What exactly are you having problems with in kde? It works pretty much like windows does. You can install another desktop environment you know, you're not forced to use one particular one because the distro came with it. You could use your package manager to install gnome or cinnamon or xfce if any...

im sorry but i just do not get kde. its is not designed for new linux users. this is exactly what i was afraid would happen when i tried making music on linux. i might as well go back to window since it just works. i really wanted this to work for me :( to be honest, mint with kx studio works great,...
