Re: Make "Active Topics" available in "Quick links" for unlogged in users

And then i ask, why should i give if i won't get back? Have you ever read a book? Did you need to write a book to balance the fact you had read one? When you perform music do you only perform for musicians who are performing at the same time as you? I understand your need but I think you may need t...

Re: Make "Active Topics" available in "Quick links" for unlogged in users

A "Social Media Platform" purports to be a place that encourages community but actually is only really interested in gaining the largest amount of reach to advertisers who fund it. I agree that the word 'Social' is in there but in the context of 'Social Media Platform' it counts very littl...

Re: unable to start a2jmidid automatically

I'm running F27 and qjackctl still launches a2j for me.

In my 'execute script after startup' box I have 'a2jmidid -e &'

Re: Make "Active Topics" available in "Quick links" for unlogged in users

This is a community, not a social media platform. It matters not if there were 7, 70, 700 or 70,000 active users, it's not about the numbers, it's about the exchange of knowledge and the relationships forged. I'd rather have a community of 2 contributing value than a gang of 79 typing nonsense.

[quote="ssj71"]maybe I'm being picky about semantics here but IMHO proprietary != nonfree != FLOSS You're now arguing about the meaning of English words. Meanings do change though the passage of time but I don't see why we need to rope proprietary in to the language dance at this time. Pro...

Re: New version Linux Sampler 2.1 released

I'm a little upset that you still think LinuxSampler is proprietary. Contrary to Sforzando for example, I can port it to work on new systems (it works on FreeBSD!) and can modify code as needed. But you can't put it in official Debian repo because Debian sells CDs and DVDs. We don't have our 4 fund...

Re: Xhip (subtractive/hybrid synthesizer)

plonked this in today. works fine on Ardour 5.11.0 on Fedora 26 with the exception that the interface seems to flicker a bit over the knobs. I needed a simple supersaw plugin and here it is.
