Re: [SOLVED]No seek bar on audio players and sound issues
Oxygen-gtk theme breaks things in the GUI operation. I could no longer drag items within the Audacious GUI, either to change the order in the playlist or to copy the files by dragging into a file browser (I've gone back to using Thunar as I didn't like Dolphin but that's neither here nor there.) I a...

Re: [SOLVED]No seek bar on audio players and sound issues
Try the gtk2-engines-oxigen and gtk3-engines-oxigen packages that "ensures visual consistency between GTK+ and Qt-based applications running under KDE." (I thought) Oxygen is a light coloured theme and not going to work to make it fit with the rest of the OS appearance. But thought I'd gi...

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
I notice on the launchpad page[1] it shows you have Mixxx in your repos (I assume with options not in the standard Ubuntu build, such as the nopulse flag.) But the version shown on that page is 1.10 when 1.11 has been out for over two years![2] It is again a case of you recommend adding the repo own...

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
Is everything that can be installed on a standard KXStudio install from your repos or are the Ubuntu repos enabled as standard? (Sorry I've not been at my computer enough to remember to just check these things myself, plus not having internet at home makes it hard to check against latest version et...

I love seeing how quick you work, maximum respect for that. Is everything that can be installed on a standard KXStudio install from your repos or are the Ubuntu repos enabled as standard? Re: power management settings not taken into account
Personally I disable those options so can't comment. I know the default power settings constantly changing my screen brightness as the power cable was knocked, or as the charging starts and stops when the battery is above 95% was also extremely annoying and had to be disabled! But I digress... What ...

Re: No seek bar on audio players and sound issues
that's not an issue with the apps, but with the gtk3 theme I made for kxstudio. It was never completed, and has several issues. you need to change the gtk3 theme to something else. That's it! Had thought it might be something there but think I forgot to close and reopen the applications when trying...

Re: No seek bar on audio players and sound issues
Thanks falkTX now have the system updating with no errors and have audio working. Here is a screenshot of the GUI issue of no seek bars in the audio players though. Hoped updating the system after the previous issues might have fixed this as well. Any ideas?? As you can see Rhythmbox is even missing...

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
I ran a sudo apt-get install kxstudio-meta-audio* after Dist-Upgrade and it seemed to already have nearly all the packages already so let it install the remaining. This seems to have included those you mention above. $ sudo apt-get install dpf-plugins distrho-plugins-lv2 kxstudio-meta-audio-plugins-...

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
I went and installed the repos from the link as if it was a Debian/Ubuntu install and that fixed the Update command. Still getting the other errors though. Following your steps I stopped after the third one as errors were persisting exactly as before. Guess maybe remove entire plugins pack and reins...

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
Tried apt-get installing the repos and removing the offending files and always get these errors! $ sudo apt-get install kxstudio-repos Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done kxstudio-repos is already the newest version. You might want to run 'apt-get...

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
damn sourceforge why you have to be so nasty. anyway, this is a known issue and will only be fully resolved when sourceforge websites come back online. until then you can install the "kxstudio-repos" package update, and then do a system update as usual. regarding the distrho-plugins-lv2 p...

Re: No seek bar on audio players and sound issues
After setting up Jack to use correct audio interface (rather than a Loopback device that writes nowhere) I now have audio from any application I set to Jack and it seems Rhythmbox will now work alongside running Alsa (when it didn't seem to want to play ball at all.) Still no visible seek bars in my...

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
I noticed the other day a post saying the SourceForge hosted repos were back, although the website wasn't. Just taken my laptop to a cafe with internet and running sudo apt-get update and I still get this bunch of message at the end. Should I be worried or can you let me know how to manually edit th...
