They did. I used to run Zone Alarm (then Kerio later), which allowed me to restrict Internet access to any application of my choice, which... Linux still won't let me do to this day! :x

Re: Drum libraries for Hydrogen

Just a little more search-fu and I found these:

http://hydro.smoors.de/Flac_GSCW-1.h2drumkit
http://hydro.smoors.de/Flac_GSCW-2.h2drumkit

I guess that settles it.

Re: windows95 v1.1: Floppy Disk Support!

Win95 was awesome back in the day. The first version crashed a lot, but so-called OSR2 fixed that to a pretty good extent. The entire installation was 48 MB. And what could we run on those 48 MB? all of MS Office, up to the "2000" version. all finance management packages such as Quicken professional...

Re: MusE 3 Debian Binary

I believe that package is broken. It stopped working for me a long time ago. This doesn't really matter to me, but if anyone wants to have a look... https://pastebin.com/LGKfp1qQ

I think I'd rather wait for version 3.

Re: Kraze - The party , bassline trouble.

I just played the original through an EQ, enhancing certain low frequencies and supressing high ones. It sounds quite clear that way.

Re: Tracktion 7 is now freeware

I'm not sure I understand what you want. If I do, then I think you're going to have to use Tracktion's sampler. Open/create a project with a MIDI track. Now look at the top. There are tabs, a time bar, a red box with a plus (+) sign and a white/gray box with a plus sign too. Click and drag that seco...

Re: Why is MIDI so broken in Linux?

I think MIDI works very well in Linux, at least with KXStudio. All applications I have — and I have lots of them — that claim to support MIDI will find and support my hardware without a glitch. The one exception was Bitwig quite a while ago. It used to be a struggle. I don't know if they have improv...

Re: For those of you that use samplers - do you use GIG?

Hmm... :? "All the time" and "Quite frequently" sound like a bit too much for me, but I do use GIG and SFZ to some extent, along with WAV samples. This is worrisome because Carla is all I have for now. I have this 'ls16' you speak of, but Carla won't find it. Running it on the command line is one of...

I think this piece sounds good, as in "well done." But I also find it boring. I wish there were more ideas and variation.

Re: "Saltline" plugins moving to "Decade Bridge"

I didn't mention Linux versions. I said specifically that they are made for Windows, but they run on Linux, i.e. on Wine/Airwave/Linvst.

"Saltline" plugins moving to "Decade Bridge"

Saltline plugins are made for Windows, but they run on Linux. They are very interesting.

Anyway, the old Saltline site will be closed and the plugins are already available from their new home at http://www.decadebridge.com

Tracktion 7 is now freeware

Version 7 of the Tracktion DAW is now free for use:

No strings attached. Just bona fide freeware, as usual.

Re: A couple of things I am noticing

Actually, no.
I'm just surprised that it is mentioned seldom here, to the point that I really forgot it existed. I used to find it interesting, but I really forgot it existed.
And it really is broken.
I didn't intend to be sarcastic in any part.
