Re: Editing several MIDI tracks at the same place
so, you didn't read the irony on that 6y+old post ? no problem. qtractor model is one MIDI track, one MIDI channel, period. that's its design flaw (slanted here now and then on purpose ). it won't change and it really it's in its blueprint design since dawn. ever. I don't regard that as a flaw. &qu...

Re: Editing several MIDI tracks at the same place
I read that implementing the viewing of several MIDI channel in the same pianoroll in Qtractor was very complicated by design and the developer of Qtractor seemed quite reluctant to work on that. I don't really expect Qtractor's author to work on such a specific, sort of obscure feature, but it's s...

Re: Power station industrializer
Thanks for testing! Any chance for JACK support ? Yes. Wouldn't be too hard to fit in. The audio output code needs a rewrite first, though. It currently runs the playback synchonously in the main thread, and connects/disconnects from the system every time (which isn't much of a problem for Pulseaudi...

Re: Editing several MIDI tracks at the same place
So yeah, as OP stated, being able to see MIDI notes in other MIDI channels in a single piano roll window would be an enormous help. Agreed. This is what I'd like very much as well. A long time ago (either in DOS or on the Atari) I remember having a piano roll editor which could display various trac...

Power station industrializer
I've just resurrected the psindustrializer project. I moved the source code to github, modernized the autotools build, updated the dependencies to use more modern libraries, and made the UI a bit more convenient (you can now just press space to render and play the current sound). https://github.com/...

Re: Anyone interested in an LV2 FM synth?
Definetly interested. I like the 'everything can modulate everything' approach. Most of the other FM synths have a fixed setup.

Re: looking for a good piano sound
It's not a sample bank, but I like the physically simulated piano from faust (available with the lv2 plugins https://bitbucket.org/agraef/faust-lv2 )

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
The README from that project kinda makes me not waste time with it: Some limitations: Sample rate is locked at 44.1 kHz Well, ok... As you said we already have dexed so this one is not that important. The dexed plugin in the distrho ports needs updating, I'll do that soon. Right, just wanted to men...

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Thanks for making DISTHRO, it's great to have all those LV2 plugins in a convenient bundle for Linux. As for open source non-linux plugins, there's https://github.com/bsutherland/JuceOPLVSTi , a Juce VSTi with GUI that emulates a OPL2 sound chip (2-operator FM synthesis) which has build instructions...

Re: FLTK
whoops. Yes. OpenAV plugins use NTK. Harry's a talented Dev, but I think NTK isn't too bad to use either. I've never really looked into it. Switching from FLTK to NTK should be easy, NTK is meant to offer the same interface, just fancier widgets. ZynAddSubFX (at least git version) supports both at ...

Agreed. I'm new here and the first forum I went looking for is a forum about softsynths and instruments, and was unable to find it. I'm glad I'm not the only one missing it

Re: Hexter802
Thanks for the tip, I was also wondering how to run hexter multitimbral. Running multiple instances inside one plugin host sounds like a good solution.
