Re: U-he native linux Diva is working in Carla

Thanks for the tips!

In Carla, U-he Zebra2, the other plugins it installs, and Uhbik, are scanned, but no ports are listed,
while the other U-he plugins all have the ports listed, and work in Carla's native gui. Any clues?

Re: U-he native linux Diva is working in Carla

@ glowrak guy: Please scan only folders with native 64 bit plugins. After weigh too much testing, I'm sure it's a Traxktion bug. It locks up solid at the first vst scanned. Even if there is only one in the folder. Tested in all known vst default folders, as well as the ones tracktion creates. I'll ...

Re: U-he native linux Diva is working in Carla

Thanks for the tip! I'll do some sorting tomorrow, and try again. But the scan worked on about 200 sundry plugins before registration, only about 30 of which are 64's. The marvels of 0's and 1's  ( I only scanned .vst, /usr/lib/vst and /usr/local/lib/vst, and /usr/local/lib/lxvst, nothing in ....

Re: U-he native linux Diva is working in Carla

After registeringTracktion, it refuses to scan any of the plugins it had no problem with, prior to registration. Locks up hard on the first one it finds, whether ladspa or vst. Parts of T5 might be more alpha, than beta. :( That on a system where wine and reaper and plugins are willing dance partner...

Re: U-he native linux Diva is working in Carla

It looks like the official position is, 'if it works in bitwig, it works', and the various issues That's not true at all, abique is actively working with the Renoise developer to fix some issues. That's nice, but he has stated he doesn't have time to sort every host issue. Even Hercules needs sleep...

Re: U-he native linux Diva is working in Carla

I hope this inspires other devs to focus for awhile at least, on native vst hosting. I don't think anyone is labeling things wrongly, more a matter of just 24 hour per day, and 30 hours worth of work waiting each day at sunrise. I hope Ablique, and everyone helping, realize the impact of this...

Re: U-he native linux Diva is working in Carla

Yes, In Tracktion, I see the same partial black vst panel, with the same result that it is redrawn correctly if reloaded, except the 5% or so missing on the bottom. It looks like the official position is, 'if it works in bitwig, it works', and the various issues belong to the other hosts. I would ex...

/etc/security/limits.conf max audio priority 99, and in qjackctl, max priority is 89. Perhaps on newer mobo, lower than 89, try 60, in case new tech is not fully supported, and fighting over cpu occurs. qjackctl options: Periods/Buffer 2 and Frames/Period 256 Driver Alsa MIDI Driver none Have you to...

Re: U-he native linux Diva is working in Carla

Got the free linux version, and it's pretty nice, native vsts work OK, and U-he gui are indeed cropped at the bottom. Also, Diva64 and Ace64 presented blank black rectangles, and the the 32 bit versions of those two, were apparently not loved by the scan. I have them in ~.vst, /usr/local/lib/vst, an...

Re: Fighting with my new Mobo ~and the winner is . .

I have a Mustang usb guitar amp, ($50 used, warranty expired etc) all chips, no tubes, and I'm thinking about removing the speaker, and putting a computer motherboard inside, and a mounting an lcd monitor on the back. For taking on beach trips, holiday visits etc And potentially, for daily use desk ...

Re: Audio Technica USB mic in ardour

You can search google for blue yeti, and other common usb mics for linux tips. This one had success: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2153270 lsusb (from usbutils), arecord -l and aconnect -i will display some i/o parts. Run them without, and then with the mic plugged in, and compare output....

Re: Fighting with my new Mobo ~and the winner is . .

Congrats on the victory. Defeat is not a linux user option. I recently got the new guitarix running on a distro that only had a .11 era version. It took a lot of alien conversions from debian sid dependency lists, and libavahi-gobject installed without errors, but wasn't listed in file managers, and...
