Re: Newly optimized Fathom modular $25 thru kvr thru October

There will be a new high end version eventually, some details from the dev just posted yesterday at https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=482501&start=4455 And a cool marketing benefit: "existing users will have the total accumulation of everything they ever spent on Fathom...

Newly optimized Fathom modular $25 thru kvr thru October

The $25 price applies when purchased here: https://www.kvraudio.com/marketplace/fathom Fathom is much faster with lower cpu use in the new v233 release, and more optimizing with AVX instructions is coming in the next release. V233 also adds Tonal FM. Playing the great sounds without spiking the cpu ...

Re: Kontakt player decided to stop working on me...

Below are the over-rides I use. Chosen based on tips, terminal output, google results etc. But now I compare file sizes of what wine provides, compared to msoft originals. If the file size difference is glaring, I'll add the over-ride. As wine improves, the provided dlls may approach the size of the...

Re: Kontakt player decided to stop working on me...

Native Access can fail in rare windows fiascos, too. And when a troublesome version is released, it's SOL for a few customers, because it auto-updates. But I think there is an env variable that can be set to block auto-update. Is your wine ID set as win 8? That might help. Myself, I think there are ...

Re: Kontakt player decided to stop working on me...

I have Kontakt 6 and Syntronik 1.2 in Mint 18, using windows Reaper and the latest wine-staging, 2.17 I think. along with a motley crew of dll over-rides. Both instruments work OK. You might want to rename and backup your .wine folder, and start fresh, with the latest version, copy giant sound libs ...

discoDSP add a standalone linux version to the new Bliss Sampler 1.7 update.

The update is free to those who purchased V1.5 or 1.6

Got a Diva or Bazille preset that kills cpu's?
Bliss can help!

Very cool that you've joined the forum! As linux Reaper supports linux vst, the reaper linux forum might be another good connection. I believe the SFZero dev who posts here sometimes also contributes there, and could be a good sounding board. As a Dimension Pro fan, I'm always happy to see more and ...

Re: IK's new Hammond suite working fine, Mint 18 wine-staging, Reaper

Good news, after updating to wine-staging 4.17, the vst2 Hammond showed up after a reaper clear-cache rescan. I currently have the vst2, vst3, and standalone running simultaneously in windows reaper in wine, each with different presets, and gui's happy, and as an aside, in another desktop window, th...

Re: IK's new Hammond suite working fine, Mint 18 wine-staging, Reaper

It installs via standard .exe installer, provides vst2 and vst3 .dlls, a standalone executable, and AAX if desired. After a test, the Hammond standalone works, the vst3i works in windows reaper with wine-staging, and I was able to run both at the same time. In linux reaper, the scan for vsti showed ...

Re: wineasio driver not loading

To have wine-staging, you should copy the wineasio.dll and/or .so files somewhere safe in case needed rename your .wine folder to something else. uninstall everything found as directly wine related, using synaptic, all/any wine versions. (this will probably remove things you'll want to reinstall lat...

Surge synth testers wanted, also an LV2 version in the works

Lots of work coming to fruition on the opensource Surge synth revival. Nightly .deb builds for testers at https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/#downloads One of the devs mentioned in brief that an LV2 version is also coming soon, pretty cool that such an excellent instrument is being improved! 8) htt...
