Re: My new metal song
Nice track. I liked the composition and even understood a bit of lyrics (I think it's written in Polish), but I think it could be mixed better. Sources are nice, they have some headroom to extract more punch and clarity from. Can I have the stems? I'd try to remix that, this material is good.

Wess Meets West - 64 Bristol
Hi there. I'm back with a post rock mix for excellent Wess Meets West. It had 70-something individual tracks and was challenging to mix, but here it is anyway:

Re: new Saturator (LV2) plugin
Worked like a charm. By the way, extreme settings on male vocal tracks can give interesting results.

Yes, we do. It's very difficult to get wide dynamics with MuldjordKit also, both 1 and 2 versions.

As for me, Invada Tube Distortion, Calf Vintage Delay, CS10QS, ZamComp, MDA Stereo and ZaMaximX2 do the job well.

Forkupines - Sleep By Fire, Bloom In Water
After a long period of silence I am coming back with new monitors and yet another mix. A great song by Forkupines this time. Don't hesitate to comment, criticise and discuss the mix!

I have nothing to say. That's excellent! Great, very exciting work. You're one of the top Linux audio guys, I bet on it. A great example of what home recs should be.

Re: Error Ardour and other issues
What is your hardware configuration? How did you set up JACK? What plugin causes Ardour to show that “mysterious circle” which is basically a panner for 3-channel track?

Re: Here's one I produced earlier
Wow! Awesome synth patches and cool music! What did you read to understand synthesis? I want to make some unique sounds to use in my band's arrangement, but I don't know anything about how it works. I don't want to use somebody's presets, I want to make all the sounds on my own.

Very interesting work. Mixing can be better (and I am sure it will), but the music itself is good. Keep on rocking!

Re: Ardour video showcase
If you wanted to try to spice it up and sell linux audio more, I'd say put in a few titles telling some of the features like "unlimited track count." Show the mixer view and some of the plugin UIs. Thanks for the reply! After sharing this video with a couple of my friends I decided to sta...

Re: Calf 30 band eq labels all bands as 33 hz
It never worked on my machine, and I think never will. It launches, but never changes the sound whatever I do with the controls. I use Damien Zammet's 31-band EQ instead if I need that kind of processing.

Re: Xruns with NI Kontakt on an otherwise Xrun-free system
I think it's either wine or wineasio issue. I had kinda similar problem when was trying to use Guitar Rig. It worked well in Carla, but when I tried to use it with Ardour (still launched in Carla, Ardour guitar tracks were routed to Guitar Rig), I got gazillions of xruns and ear bleeding. The issue ...

Ardour video showcase
Just made a little demo of Ardour playing one of my mixes. Any suggestions on how to make it better next time? I want to make a decent video demo, but don't know how to make it informative enough.

Re: Gordon in Kansas City - New to Linux
Next decision: Ardour or LMMS? Depends on what you wanna record. As I can understand, you're a live player, so Ardour is your choice number one. I recommend you to buy some basic $50 USB audio interface first since you'll need some noise reduction if you gonna record live guitar and/or bass via you...
