Re: new GxBoobTube.lv2
At least for GxBoobTube it's easy to anticipately "correct" the nym, let's go for "GxBollobTube, oh never mind :P  Why should we even pay any attention to this “political correct” bullshit if we like how does the software perform? Should I cut my wiener off and paint my skin b...

“On a break” isn't synonymous to “abandoned forever”.

Re: Why run Windows software on Linux?
Wow, really ? So I'm part of the minority for having (dearly) paid for all the audio software I use ? Yeah, you are. You have my respect for that. Wait, I just saw you're from Russia. Well, sometimes I fly to Finland to see my Suomalainen friends, and almost everybody there has it all stolen, from ...

Re: Why run Windows software on Linux?
I see a lot of questions here about pretty expensive DAW's that are Windows native. Why not use (dual boot) Windows then? Because people hear and read that GNU/Linux is a rock solid environment, so they occasionally give it a try. Maybe somebody convince them to taste the GPL flavour, but, as with ...

Re: Unwanted distortion in Reaper
For me everything <= 10ms is ok. A total roundtrip is always longer than samplerate / (buffersize * n). There's an additional delay in the soundcard itself (that's why I love Presonus, they add up only 1-2 ms), there's a transfer delay on USB bus. To get to real 10< ms, you need to use buffer size ...

LinuxMusicians guys, don't get deceived by the name. This plugin has some serious balls.tramp wrote:the BoobTube
Good work, tramp! It's in my go-to list for really heavy guitar tones. I especially like that this thing doesn't eat up the lows, so I still have my own control on them.

Re: Sitala drum plugin
A download button says it's for Ubuntu 18.04, of course it's not working with older libc. I don't think they plan to release a version for older distros.lilith wrote:This looks interesting, but it's not working on Debian Stable as it uses libc6 (>= 2.27).
Debian Stable libc6 version is 2.24-11+deb9u3.

Re: Unwanted distortion in Reaper
96 is unsupported by some convolution software, like JConvolver, which can be found in Guitarix. It's better to use power of 2 buffer sizes to get more stable performance.khz wrote:96/128/256/512/1024/2048/4096Code: Select all

Re: Unwanted distortion in Reaper
Great, if you need less latency you can go down again to 512 and 256 until you run into problems like dropouts (xruns). This is unplayable, because a total roundtrip in this case will be above 30 ms, which is noticed even by non-musicians. However, good sound cards like Presonus ones can be playabl...

Re: Beginner question about KXStudio
Then you must also realize that 'blowing up' against this one newcomer will not help, because even if you have 'educated' him (which is still more effective if you do it in a friendly way), the next 'uninformed question' will come from another new user, not the same one. In my experience, the more ...

Re: Beginner question about KXStudio
I was really wondering why, after installing KXStudio, I didn't found an application with that name in my menu, while on their website it shows a picture of a DAW and all kinds of plug-ins. Why didn't you read the description in before you did the installation? Was that text hidden somewhere in Pan...

Also, who is to say what is 'idiotic shit' People who know how search engines work, people who read about what they are going to use/install/whatever, people who don't say that idiotic shit, at least. I am shocked by how people defend stupidity in the age of easy access to almost any information wi...
