I've run this live from a dvd and successfully installed from this dvd. I don't have a usb drive around at the moment to test running it live from usb.

I think I experienced the same install failure as alu on the latest iso. I looked for a md5suim to verify bits, but cannot find one. I was wrongly assuming everyone has widescreens. Regardless, 1000x800 I think should still be a fine size for 1280x1024. I'm actually working on reducing the size even more, right now I think it's around 850x790, which is neat. I'm gonna need to figure out a good size for the sliders/knobs too, on ...
