Re: Ineardisplay

I'm having some issues with these plugins. Danaidies crashes when I try to load any preset and Tkapik doesn't work at all, the file open menu doesn't work.
Bit of a shame but the others are great, lots of fun to be had.

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived

That's true, I am very grateful they are supporting Linux at all so I'm not really moaning. I hope you can get it registered soon, maybe try emailing them or something (the kvr forum doesn't seem very active at all)?

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived

Yes, I didn't give any payment options, I failed to complete that part when I first created an account. Then I just logged in and did as I said and it gave me an option for Linux version. I see what you mean though, when I click on Add a License now I get the same screen you describe but that's not ...

Re: Ineardisplay

I've see these before, I had always only looked that the Freebies section and that there was only one for linux. Now I'm checking under the main plugins section and you're right, they are all free for linux
Well thank you for making me look again, they look amazing.

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived

danboid, got to my account first and Add A License and choose linux and then click on the register offline and complete the form. You can download the file and just drag and drop it on to the main window when Tracktion is open. It took me ages to work out that you had to add a license although it se...

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived

Are you still having problems registering it? It took me a while to work out how to do it but I managed in the end. I seem to be missing some stuff in the settings, there's a video on their website with a guy changing the theme but there is no option to on mine. I was hoping to change some display s...

Re: Can't play anything from bandcamp or soundcloud

This is really weird, I just installed Palemoon and everything works as it should. I even copied the profile over from firefox so it can't be that. I have no idea, maybe I'll try a new clean installation of firefox...or stick with Palemoon.

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived

danboid have you managed to send audio or midi to Carla or somewhere outside of Tracktion? I can't figure out how to do it. I was trying set up a send/aux routed to Carla but I can't work out how to actually get the sound of Tracktion, doesn't seem possible to route tracks unless I'm missing somethi...

Re: Linux Alternatives to Apple's Music Software

There isn't really anything that is a direct replacement of Ableton Live. It really depends how they use Ableton, for live looping, as a full sequencer, an audio recorder? If it is live looping you need then Luppp is one to check out. For anything else then Ardour is probably the best one to look to...

Re: creating and changing scenes via midi messages

Pretty much any of them could do that I suppose. In Qtractor and Ardour you could have a different synth each midi track and assigned to a particular midi channel. Then you would just change the midi channel on your midi keyboard and it would play the corresponding synth in sequencer. Maybe with som...

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived

One workaround could be called Carla for LV2 and DDSI. I'm gonna try it tonight. You mean routing things out and using Carla to host fx and instruments? Certainly it's doable for instruments but not very practical for fx. Will have to give it a try though, perhaps it could work out ok. Would be a s...

Re: Tracktion5 has arrived

I also noticed the hiss but I haven't got around to trying to register it yet, I did read about people having problems doing that. I can't believe some of the features of it, like this one - http://www.tracktion.com/training-videos/t5-overview/edit-clips-overview Also, the freeze points and cpu mana...
