Re: Linuxsampler installation shell script - Linux Mint 20
I now tried the linuxsampler installation on another laptop with Ubuntu Studio 20.04 (Xfce). Here the script was successful after a long time and many warnings. The last about 700 lines see here: from ../../drivers/Plugin.h:24, from PluginLv2.h:24, from PluginLv2.cpp:32: ../../drivers/../engines/Eng...

Re: Linuxsampler installation shell script - Linux Mint 20
I've tested it on Linux Mint 20 XFCE. It will probably also work on other Ubuntu 20.04 variants. Thank you very much for the script! I tested it with Ubuntu Studio 21.10 (KDE Plasma Desktop Environment). Warnings occurred during the execution of the script (see below). user@uc:~$ sudo dash linux_sa...

Re: Questions about installing KXS on Debian
I installed wheezy (xfce) and the KXStudio repos. Via synaptic I installed kxstudio-menu and kxstudio-meta-all. After that synaptic reports that not all changes were successful: Die GTK-Oberfläche benötigt ein funktionierendes Python-gtk2 und Python-glade2. Diese können nicht importiert werden. Fall...

[solved] Re: KXStudio 12.04.3: Muon and Synaptic are crashi
Thank your for your answer! Crashes of other apps could not be noticed. "sudo apt-get update" worked and Synaptic could also be started from the console. After restart Muon did not crash and I made a full update. Now Synaptic and Muon work fine from the GUI but after start of the computer ...

[solved]KXStudio 12.04.3: Muon and Synaptic are crashing
Hallo, KXStudio 12.04 worked fine and recently I made a new installation of KXStudio 12.04.3 (on my ThinkPad). [Problem solved] No Sound From Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB
Edit: Problem solved in the meantime. "device 0: USB Audio" was correct in Cadence (interfaces), but to I had to restart Ardour3. I could select "Scarlett" under "Devices" during Start of Ardour3. You should configure JACK first via Cadence. I see "USB [Scarlett 2i...

Options on regular updates of KXStudio
Hallo, I have installed KXStudio from a 12.04 Live-DVD and from time to time I receive a message that updates are available. Muon has marked most of the packages and leaves the option to mark additional packages for which other packages have to be changed. Normally I chose the option to install all ...

Re: Can not start Ardour3 (invalid plugins)
Correct, the Ardour GUI never shows up. All you can see is the picture attached. Any solution? P.S.: Seems that Ardour3 requires more memory now. "ulimit -l" says: 64 My system configuration is limited to 4096 open files and Ardour3 seems to require more now. Is there a solution by a chang...

Can not start Ardour3 (invalid plugins)
Hallo, about one year ago, I installed KXStudio (Ubuntu 12.04 ISO) on my Thinkpad and had no problems with Ardour3. I did not use it for a long time and now the start fails (see attatchment). This window can only be closed by killing the ardour-process. I chose to make all available updates in Muon ...

Re: How to get KXStudio repos on a Debian system
Hallo, I have just installed Wheezy, try to install kxstudio and have done this so far: Debian users can enable our repositories by installing this deb file: kxstudio-repos.deb. If you're running Debian Wheezy, consider installing the backports repo package as well: kxstudio-repos-backpo http://kxst...
