At present, the sound is coming through the laptop speakers, as I do not have the interface connected to my mixer, then forward to the powered speakers.

Why do all of the connections say mixer to usb interface? That seems backwards to me. If I send my signals into the laptop, through the DAW, out to the mixer and through my speakers, it means I get to mix the signal in the DAW and send THAT stereo mix of music from the interface to the mixer. I installed, updated, and upgraded. Rosegarden can record from the on board mic, but I want to use the NI Komplete 6 usb interface as default.
