Re: Ultralite AVB

I created a ticket on the MOTU site regarding the buggy firmware in newer versions. Since they are so stubborn and insist in naming the operating system but offer only Windows and Mac I had to choose one of them and chose Windows 10 64 Bit. I am afraid they will ask how I made Windows using class c...

Re: Ultralite AVB

Anyone tested the 1.3.5+626 firmware regarding the prolem with weird samplerate-timing-drift that makes most previous firmwares unusable ? /Anders It's still decimating after a few minutes. Thanks for the report. Sorry to hear there is no change. The only thing my support requests to Motu has done ...

Re: Ultralite AVB

v1.3.5+626 is out. http://motu.com/techsupport/technotes/firmwarechangelog/ Implemented low bandwidth mode when both computer input and output channel count is set to 32 or lower. This will help USB compatibility with x99 chipset based systems. Hope that it solves something even without using x99 c...

REV1

I wonder if I am the only one missing REV1 a lot as Carla Internal and/or lv2 plugin? That was my goto reverb and used a lot in everything I did... Using the GxZita_rev1-Stereo works but does not bring back the warm feeling from the past.. The stand alone REV1 is still usable but it is not a plugin ...

Re: OverTone DSP V3 Vintage EQ Plug-ins - March 2019 update

I think this is completely valid Linux audio news and not advertising. There is a very hostile tone towards Mike that is unfortunate and I would personally like to see all Linux audio related news presented in this thread. I use a lot of open source plugins and also a lot of commercial ones too. I o...

Re: Ultralite AVB

Hi ! I stumbled upon L-Acoustics which seems to be actively working on an open source AVDECC protocol implementation for all platforms. (The L-Acoustics gears I've come across so far has been top of the line and superior to anything else I've heard but that is not important in this case but that mak...

Re: Ultralite AVB

Nice progress Drumfix For those that have issues with bitcrushing, I settled on firmware 1.3.4+558 for my Ultralite AVBs and have no bitcrushing. The latest official build as the time of writing is 1.3.4+617 which is unusable for since it starts bitcrush immediately. According to MOTU there were no ...

Re: Ultralite AVB

You can set the device to Motu proprietary mode by curl --data 'json={"value":"USB2"}' 169.254.24.19/datastore/host/mode curl --data 'json={"value":"64"}' 169.254.24.19/datastore/host/maxUSBToHost and back to class compliant mode by curl --data 'json={"v...

Re: Ultralite AVB

Well that's rather unfortunate, but I suppose MOTU is under no obligation to support use of their products on a non-supported OS. For my use cases, I think 24 channels is plenty; maybe that could change though. I think I'll try reverting my 16A to old firmware. I'm unsure if the channel count issue...

Re: Ultralite AVB

I just tried it; there seems to be a reason I picked 24. The web interface won't let me select any more than 24 channels, and changes the number I specify to 24 if it's larger. The specs indicate that I can use 32 at 96k, but maybe that's an error. I also tried with 16 channels, and get the same ch...

Re: Ultralite AVB

It should work work any Motu AVB device. Cool Haven't checked the code yet and have to order a couple i210 to try this out asap. Will the AVB implementation work with other vendors AVB streams as well, like for instance Presonus or L-ACOUSTICS stuff or is it specifically targeted towards Motu hardw...

Re: Ultralite AVB

Hi ! Newbie here. I own an Ultralite AVB, and was pretty happy about it until this progressive bitcrushing bug on Linux. Before that was the BSOD bug on W10. I contacted MOTU about it and they kindly sent me a beta firmware which resolved the issue. Very confident after that first contact, i was al...

Re: upgraded kxs from 12.04 to 14.04

To give a little perspective: It used to work just like any of my hardware synths or keyboards with absolutely no detectable latency but now there is a small but obvious latency that is at least really annoying. It is possible to play live but I need to fix this and I appreciate the questions and su...
