Re: Focusrite Clarett now on USB! Will it work on Linux?
Old thread, but do we have any more Clarett users on here yet? I want to get the 8Pre. I know someone things need to be configured with their software, but as far as I know, the biggest thing is you need to use their software to switch the 1/4 inch jacks to Hi-Z. I think they are line level by defau...

Re: Music to commit suicide by
I remember Joan of Arc. I offered to play on it at one point, but it's probably over my head. I remember this back in your Roland RAP-10 days. I have a bunch of super talented friends who would be ideal to play guitar on this, but they're all out of state, and super busy with cover bands. Jeff, were...

Good stuff.
I no longer take part in the sample-rate arguments that take place on the various audio and hi-fi forums in which I participate.

Re: Multiband compressor suitable for mastering
I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear, but have you considered the fact that if you need a multiband compressor at the mastering stage that that is an indication of problems with the mix that could be better solved in the mixing context/stage? Unless you're stuck with stereo mixdowns, I don't s...

The Harrison 3D delay can do this, but it is a commercial plugin.

Re: Who here can master music for money?
If you want to sell me your services, I'm willing to pay. I would recommend doing a ~30 sec clip as a sample, tell me how much it would be to master the whole song. I wouldn't ask you to name a price until you know just how easy/hard mastering the song(s) can be. The pricing is up to you. Just base...

Re: Who here can master music for money?
I'm still a little confused.
I'm supposed to master this project, and if you like it, or something, you will pay me?
How much money are we talking about here?

I always liked this track. A little bit of Rundgren in there, I think.
Nice additions. I have ideas.
