Re: Music to commit suicide by

I remember Joan of Arc. I offered to play on it at one point, but it's probably over my head. I remember this back in your Roland RAP-10 days. I have a bunch of super talented friends who would be ideal to play guitar on this, but they're all out of state, and super busy with cover bands. Jeff, were...

Rich, if you ever again compare me to Boy George, I'll dig out my 14.4k modem and program it to call your home every morning at 4am.
The ABBA influence is there, too.

Good stuff.

I no longer take part in the sample-rate arguments that take place on the various audio and hi-fi forums in which I participate.

Re: Multiband compressor suitable for mastering

I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear, but have you considered the fact that if you need a multiband compressor at the mastering stage that that is an indication of problems with the mix that could be better solved in the mixing context/stage? Unless you're stuck with stereo mixdowns, I don't s...

The Harrison 3D delay can do this, but it is a commercial plugin.

Re: Who here can master music for money?

If you want to sell me your services, I'm willing to pay. I would recommend doing a ~30 sec clip as a sample, tell me how much it would be to master the whole song. I wouldn't ask you to name a price until you know just how easy/hard mastering the song(s) can be. The pricing is up to you. Just base...

Re: Who here can master music for money?

I'm still a little confused.

I'm supposed to master this project, and if you like it, or something, you will pay me?

How much money are we talking about here?

I am a professional audio engineer for nearly 20 years, and have been mastering for three. I am available for hire. If you need references I can give you some.

I always liked this track. A little bit of Rundgren in there, I think.

Nice additions. I have ideas.

Re: falkTX radio interview

I would love to listen to it, but couldn't deal with the playback problem. I will say this though, after listening to falkTX for a moment, I realized he sounds a lot like the Anton Chigurh character from No Country For Old Men (played by Javiier Bardem).

Re: Please, stop the FLOSS donation guilt trips and begging!

This is one of those areas where people need to learn that what is true for you, isn't necessarily true for other people. And it seems to be the one lesson people very often don't learn. If you don't like people "begging for donations," then don't do it. But everyone else in the world is entitled to...
