Jack is fairly well known... at least on the Mac. JackOsX has been available for quite some time. (I just checked MacUpdate and it has been downloaded over 24,000 times and that is just one site). In my opinion it simply doesn't get the promotional noise that people make around their commercial apps...

Okay.... I'm in. This looks really interesting. There is a lot of experience and thought behind it. I agree that music is bigger than the "bar" system. I understand why those boundaries were set and their usefulness .... but music itself is more expansive. I am new to the Linux ecosystem. ...
