Re: Anybody else using a Komplete Audio 1?
Your post doesn't really say too much about what lengths or how much trying to fix this problem. https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxaudio/comments/lfatmj/komplete_audio_1_on_linux_will_it_work/ References a non existing page saying Kontrol 1 works flawlessly in someones linux box. What I remember is the ...

Re: RX 6400 Radeon GPU
I installed this for a light gaming / music making computer. Goes well in those old dells with half height slots and i7 cpus. Effortlessly supported with solid drivers in Majaro. So glad I got this instead of the nvidia equivilent.

Re: Field recorder / portable stereo recording device
Hi, I like those small voice recorders too like the olympus mentioned. I use the sony ones that also record wavs. I've done spectral analysis with my little sony voice recorders against well known small recorders (sony pcm-m10 tascam dr70) and found the little voice recorder sounds really good, and ...

Re: Most stable version of Ardour
Every time Microsoft comes with an update you get these sort of video's because people fear change. Win 11 can't be so different from Win 10 that you need to switch to something other than Windows. And if you can't update from Win 10: it'll be supported 'til 2025. These sort of "new users"...

Most stable version of Ardour
:) Hi everyone, was on 0.9.8 for so long, then a few versions along the way (it's been a few years) and have settled on 5.12 for some time. I tried 7.0pre and didn't enjoy the experience of being on that so much. Serious question, is there a more stable version than 5.12? Is there a version with any...

Re: Cardinal - essentially vcvrack2.lv2
Hi, bit embarrassing. I can't seem to load the familiar gui as an lv2 either in Ardour 5.12 (preferred) or Ardour 7.0-pre. Is there a page with some simple instructions? Trying to load it as a midi double click for the gui get a sparse pin out one-liner. If I right-click on it and load generic contr...

Re: What entry-level audio interfaces do you want to see tested under Linux (on video)?
Any USB sound dongle. I bought one today (Orico) and when plugged in, it takes over the system. No more menu, right clicks... A run down on how to "tame" these... :) So there is a thread in https://www.head-fi.org/threads/usb-c-to-3-5mm-adapters-dac-lets-find-the-best.908839/ Head Fi abou...

Re: RME AIO Pro
Sorry I never owned the AIO or pro but owned various older RME cards and the breakout boxes digiface, multiface I and II as well as the cardbus and PCI cards. All worked great, low latency (except 96/8 Pad would only run at specific timings well). hth

Re: Sabaj Da3 with Deadbeef output
If you are able to try it with an Alsa only solution that is what I used. There might be an easier solution with dmix but I was always reluctant to use dmix and software resampling and i guess if you are playing 192kHz Flacs you might too. :D Not tried with DSD. Lots of reports of the Da2 not syncin...

Re: Sabaj Da3 with Deadbeef output
Hi! I have this device. I also owned the Da2 which died very quickly. I don't monitor high bit-depth music and only use ALSA or sometimes JACK. Here is what I have to say. I have had best results specifying hardware sample rates in .asoundrc. Or at least not using dmix or any software resampler. You...

Re: DOOM: Behind the Music
No disrespect the guy who gave this talk (no idea who he is) or the poster of this talk. I got something out of it. However, for a brief that said, no guitars, we hate guitars , even his distortion sine waves sounded guitary . Then he procedes to convince the doom people to put guitars in. Whatever....
