Re: Is KXstudio 12.04 discontinued?
Thanks you FalkTX, your work in KXStudio is excellent. It would be nice if you update the homepage at http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/, it still says: "KXStudio provides Debian and Ubuntu compatible repositories and its own Linux Distribution currently based on Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS ". Regards

Is KXstudio 12.04 discontinued?
Hi guys, I tried to update my KXStudio 12.04 (64-bit) recently, following the instructions at: http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/Repositories. I've downloaded kxstudio-repos_8.3.1~kxstudio1_all.deb but when I try to install it using dpkg -i, I got this error: dpkg: regarding kxstudio-repos_8.3.1~kxstu...

I always believed you made some special patches for KDE and XFCEfalkTX wrote:All ISOs I'll make will always have KDE.
It's what I know and use daily, and also know how to patch.
There's nothing stopping you from installing Xubuntu or any other XFCE+Debian/Ubuntu distro and put kx repos on top.

Re: Anyone interested on a 14.04-based ISO?
I'll be happy to help you test a XFCE-based ISO.
Can I try XFCE with this ISO, or is it KDE only?

Re: Autostart Jack at login stopped working
I had installed cadence-tools version 1:0.5.0~beta1+git20121124-0~precise2, it didn't upgraded because of retained packages. When I tried the command "cadence-session-start --system-start", it gave me the error: Invalid arguments Run '/usr/share/cadence/src/cadence_session_start.py -h' for...

Autostart Jack at login stopped working
I've noticed that, after a recent apt-get upgrade, JACK autostarting at login didn't work anymore in KXStudio 12.04. It was needed to run Cadence manually to start Jack. Thanks to this thread , I've found the problem: in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/99cadence-session-start, the script "cadence-session-s...

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
What about including radio automatization software in KXStudio? Rivendell is a great software, we use it in our radio station http://www.rivendellaudio.org/ Packages for Ubutu in http://debian.tryphon.eu/ Airtime is great, too. Uses a web interface. http://www.sourcefabric.org/en/airtime/ http://sou...

Re: Problems after apt-get upgrade...
In Candence, in the Pulseaudio section, I had disabled then "Autostart at login" option. Enabling it fixed the problem, now Pulseaudio runs at startup again.
Thanks you falkTX! Should this step be added to the documentation guides and KXStudio install wikis?
Happy holidays!

Problems after apt-get upgrade...
I'm using KXStudio 12.04 64-bit under XFCE since 3 months ago. It worked perfectly until last tuesday, when I ran "apt-get upgrade". When I rebooted the machine, pulseaudio doesn't started when opening the session... it's needed to open a terminal window and run pulseaudio manually with th...
