3rd album demos

https://soundcloud.com/scott-gorsuch/sets

7 demos for my upcoming 3rd album. yeah, the vocals are a little distorted on some of the louder tracks - too lazy to re-do 'em.
these are my first Linux-only recordings - made with AV6

cheers

Re: no ADC faders in Mudita24 [SOLVED]

thanks Pablo, i feel better... :) yeah, it's all working fine fine, except that - and yes, it seems to be stuck at sort of a 0db input (w/recording enabled in Ardour, the channels show around -75 to -85 db with nothing plugged in). so now i guess it's all about my mixer, and that's fine. thanks for ...

Re: no ADC faders in Mudita24

here's the Mudita24 "analog volume" tab where my ADC faders should be. the level coming into the card is pretty good, and i do have a mixer, so i can turn stuff down before that. and i guess i could change "consumer" to "professional" in Mudita (like a -10db pad) if i n...

no ADC faders in Mudita24

i can record fine (Claudia/Ardour3), but there are no ADC faders in the "analog volume" section of Mudita24. Also installed regular old "envy24" just to see - same thing. The ADC faders control my analog input levels, as i understand it. my card is an M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 any...

Re: catia, claudia, catarina & klaudia

i'm sure someone smarter will answer this but -
i use Claudia as a ladi session manager - smooth as silk. you can start applications (ie, plugin hosts) and patch things from there, too.

Re: mic predicament

thanks fellas, new heads, and the room sounds beautiful - recorded there before - very Zeppeliny... apart from the customary puff of air from the kick drum, there won't be any wind, as such. so 3 or 4 feet from the kit oughta be okay? ps, i always liked my cad, but in a taste-test, the rca made it s...

mic predicament

...it's a good predicament. okay, so i'm going to start recording a new project, and a friend is going to let me use his museum-quality RCA 44-bx. he just got it (and paid a fortune). it sounds unbelievably gorgeous, but i don't want to be the one who beaks it, right? i only have an m-audio audiophi...

Re: greetings from ohio

i haven't heard too much of VdGG, but i'm a little proggy by nature, so will have to investigate them more (and Hugh, that's awesome). yeah, the organ-thing is a weird job i fell into about 15 yrs ago. the room we set 'em up in is about 30'x30' with a 24' ceiling - plaster/glass/terrazzo - great liv...

greetings from ohio

happy xmas all been running linux since '08 (ubuntu, debian, pclinuxos, avlinux). on my studio box, i'm running lubuntu 12.04 completely kxstudio-fied. LOVE it! Claudia/Ardour3 work like a charm! kde4 is a little heavy on my old p4, but smokin' with lxde. been playing/writing/recording since '75 - i...
