Re: amsynth 1.9.0 released!
Are you the author? If so, thank you very much not only for maintaining it so far, but for amsynth in general. It's probably the best sounding synth out of the box (my personal opinion) that doesn't require a lot of fiddling to make nice sounds. It also ships with some nice presets, although I find...

Re: JUCE + GTK2 not working
Hi! I found the exact same issues and managed to solve some of them in amsynth.
This is the main commit that fixed mouse-press handling:

Re: amsynth 1.6.0
Yup, turns out bitwig studio doesn't save and restore parameters for plug-ins that don't implement setChunk and getChunk...
I have implemented chunks in the latest code on github, please let me know how well it works well for you
Thanks,
Nick

Re: amSynth VST, CDP on Renoise, etc.
amsynth's VST support has been undergoing active development over the last few weeks. Yesterday I removed the dependency on Steinberg's SDK (using the vestige header instead) to make it easier to build. Let me know if you find any problems, as I haven't had time to do wide range compatibility testin...

Re: amsynth 1.5.0
I used suil-0.6.14. I upgraded to suil-0.8.0 and the amsynth lv2 version works fine in Qtractor. Geat! Glad to hear that helped, thanks for the feedback. My wish for amsynth: pitch env, activateble per oscillator. I love "china-like" sounds where one of the oscillators is slightly detuned...

Re: amsynth 1.5.0
You might have an old buggy version of suil installed (suil is the library that lets a Qt host like Qtractor load a GTK2 plugin like amsynth) - do you know which version you have installed?
Please try using the 'Example Sampler' LV2 plugin in Qtractor and see if that crashes too.

Re: amsynth 1.5.0
Qtractor 0.6.2.1, Amsynth 1.5.0 hm@regen:~$ qtractor Segmentation fault (core dumped) Sorry, not really helpful. Maybe it's related to new LV2-GUI-stuff in Qtractor. Do you know if the crash happen in the previous version of amsynth? (with the same Qtractor etc) If you have the time, it would be he...

Re: amsynth 1.5.0
LV2 module crashes Qtractor as soon as I open the GUI. I can't reproduce this locally (Qtractor 0.5.10.1 / x64) If you run qtractor from a terminal, what error message do you see? DSSI module seems to work but doesn't poduce any output when loading into Qtracor or Rosegarden. Ouch, confirmed. I hav...

Re: amsynth 1.5.0
Nice selection of new features! In another thread, I brought up the subject of bounties, using the example of adding the simple multi-timbrality of Yoshimi/zynaddsubfx to whysynth, (met with crickets chirping :( ) so if interested in adding such ability to amsynth, maybe look into the feasibility a...
