wineasio and Carla win32/64 bridge packages don't work with wine-devel

I am on KDE neon with Focal base (20.04) and use wine-devel (Wine development branch) from the official Wine PPA. The kxstudio wineasio and Carla win32/64 bridge packages work with "wine-staging", "wine-stable" and "wine-development", but not "wine-devel". In the case of wineasio, the packages insta...

Re: NBO version 1

I have been trying to download this for the past few days, but I'm still on 0 KB and no seeders ever show up. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Improved violin

jeffg, this is really fantastic work! The legato mode sounds really smooth and natural. Thank you for all the time you have been putting into this!

Re: LMMS 0.9.9 RC2

Wow, this version is much improved! I can finally load projects that use the TAL-Noisemaker VST, and it's nice to see the SF2 player MIDI input bug fixed :) The only bug I ran into was two TripleOscillator presets that have the MIDI input velocity set to 1, which makes them inaudible when used with ...

Re: Is something wrong with KXStudio non-free repository?

Okay, everything's working now. I found and removed the duplicate entry and re-added all of the KXStudio repos. Initially, I was still getting the "conflicting distribution" error, and then I noticed that I had originally added the following PPA from the KXStudio website: deb http://kxstudio.sourcef...

Re: Is something wrong with KXStudio non-free repository?

Okay, after disabling one of the unneeded KXStudio repositories, it looks like apt corrected its "duplicate entries" problem... at least it's no longer complaining about it. The "conflicting distribution" warning still persists, though. EDIT: Nevermind... I'm getting all the errors again. It seems t...

Re: Is something wrong with KXStudio non-free repository?

Unfortunately, that seems to have made things worse. Now when I do "sudo apt-get update" I get the following: W: Conflicting distribution: http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net precise Release (expected precise but got stable) W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/...

[SOLVED] Is something wrong with KXStudio non-free repo?

I have the KXStudio non-free repository added to my software sources in Kubuntu 12.04. The apt line is: http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/repo/ precise free non-free When updating the package manager, I get the following error: W: Conflicting distribution: http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net precise Relea...

Improved Noise Reduction for Audacity

About a year ago, I was working on a sampling project and found myself a bit disappointed with Audacity's built-in noise removal feature. After a bit of research, I discovered a patch by Marco Diego Aurélio Mesquita that adds spectral subtraction as an option to Audacity's noise removal dialog. I fo...
