jack2 now with internal zalsa client

For those who want to use multiple interfaces with jack2 this might be interesting:

https://jackaudio.org/news/2021/04/15/j ... lease.html

At a first glance it works with minimal additional latency.

Thanks, falkTX.

Re: Ultralite AVB

Hey all - I managed to get root on the Ultralite AVB (the embedded linux OS that runs on it). I don't know if it could be of any use to you guys (probably not), but perhaps it could at least be of some assistance during debug (I certainly saw some messages regarding USB events in the root telnet co...

Re: Salamander Grand Piano velocity problem

It happens with Carla on my system, too, but not with Linuxsampler. It's obviousy not a problem with the Salamander sound font. So you think it's a Carla problem? Shall we flag it in the appropriate channel? If you use Carla as a sfz player then I recommend a bug report. But be sure to get the late...

Re: Salamander Grand Piano velocity problem

I love the Salamander Grand Piano sfz, it has a great sound and it works wonderfully with Carla. However, there's a small tweak that bugs me: When the sustain pedal is pressed and I play the same note twice, first with a high velocity, then with a low velocity, the new note "kills" the ol...

Re: getting pulse devices to *stay* off

I don't want to use any pulse devices besides the Jack bridge. I found I can go to system settings, in Audio > Configure, any hardware that shows up ever, set it to Profile: Off. This leaves only the Jack bridge as the only pulse option. How can I stop pulse from automatically turning on audio hard...

20.04.
Update: KlangFalter apparently is installed (I don't know under which package). It can be found by Carla, but not by Ardour.
Vitalium is just not there.
Klangfalter and Vitalium are in DISTHRO-ports.

Re: [ANN] B.Spacr sound effect plugin

This is an amazingly elegant algorithm: for (uint32_t i = 0; i < n_samples; ++i) { output1[i] = input1[i]; output2[i] = input2[i]; } No losses, no latency, no distortion. As promised! I am developing a cleaning function to avoid jitter and sharpen the edges of all bits. It makes implicitely a lapla...

Re: Ultralite AVB

Can somebody with flawless playback post their configuration as detailed as possible (cmdline, irqs, priorities)? I use kernel 5.8.6 meanwhile. My interface is one of the older ones without ESS chips. I let the interface boot until it's ready before I start the computer. No probs even after running...

Hi i have used Sfizz Player (version vst3 or lv2) on reaper 6.25 native gnu linux and mx linux 19.3 system. It work perfect with sfz samples :D I can compile it on my Xubuntu 16.04 LTS but it doesn't work in Carla (makes Carla loop) and does the same to Qtractor after a minute or so. Maybe it needs...

Re: Decent Sampler for Linux

./DecentSampler: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl.so.4: version `CURL_OPENSSL_3' not found (required by ./DecentSampler) I assume that means one might need to down grade to libcurl3? The build is for 16.04. As that is EOL soon I think I'll wait and see if they release an update. The changelog of t...
