Re: Ubuntu 22.04 & Rosengarden & Garritan

I don't use Wine and Windows-Plugins and didn't know about dssi-vst so I cannot help there.

What definitely works is Rosegarden with fluidsynth-dssi and sf2 soundfonts.

Re: Ubuntu 22.04 & Rosengarden & Garritan

Hi folks, After some time researching on the internet, I have come to the conclusion that this combination might work. I am quite tech-savvy, but I honestly admit that my knowledge of audio technology is very limited. Do any of you know a step-by-step guide on how I can implement this? Because I ha...

Re: Best way to Merge two MIDI outs (piano and drum set) into ONE interface input?

You could buy another cheap MIDI interface or audio interface with a MIDI input. There are some problems using the audio signals of two interfaces, but there are no problems at all using multiple interfaces for MIDI in and out.

Re: CALF plugins?

CALF plugins are still in Debian stable ("Bookworm"). Chances are that Debian will keep gtk2 for a long time since Debian is not run by teenagers who love the newest hot shit – and don't care about people who just want to use computers to get things done instead of installing and learning ...

I have not found an option. Maybe connecting it to jack_mixer is a workaround for you.

Spring cleaning!

This forum's on the verge of being overrun by inane chatbots. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration. Still, a bit of a sweep wouldn't hurt.

If I was a bot, I would complain about bots so real people would think I'm no bot

Re: Digital Crackle with USB Audio Interfaces

ok, I have reactivated the "Enable D-Bus interface" and "Enable Jack D-Bus interface" via QjackCtrl and the digital crackling has reappeared and disappeared again on its own. I.e. this setting has some influence on the digital crackling. And at the moment the digital crackling s...

Re: Digital Crackle with USB Audio Interfaces

The digital crackling now only starts after about an hour of uninterrupted audio streaming. That might be a misbehaving USB autosuspend. Try: sudo echo -1 > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend If that solves the problem you can make it permanent with /etc/modprobe.d/usb.conf options usbcore ...

Re: Merging AES67 ALSA driver

Try to find out how ALSA sees the card:

Code: Select all

aplay -l
arecord -l

Is it possible that you have to set the sample rate on the interface, too? Is there a menu to do this?

Re: How to make ADAT work ?

I notified that the white sound was coming from all Audient tracks in Bitwig. This let me think that it's well routed. I moved the optical cable a little bit, and stil have white noise. Could be a cable issue? When the ADAT connection causes noise on existing input channels then it looks like a clo...

Re: How to make ADAT work ?

Actually testing on SSL12 Audient is master, it defines sample rates, SSL is slave. I also have a little white sound when i change the sample rate. Exactly the same thing for Behringer. But still no sound from Audient on computer. Maybe you have to route the ADAT inputs on your audio interface to t...

Re: How to make ADAT work ?

If you can't make your audio interface work on your computer then you can't get the additional ADAT interface's signal, either. Sorry if I can't get understood, english is not my native language. Both USB interfaces, 1820 and SSL12 are working great, even if Audient is plugged or not. Problem is I ...
