Re: Instrument definition for Tchimera Drumkit

I think it may be wiser to keep it in his project for now.
The IDF file, all by itself in MusE, may not be of much use without the rest of his project.

I can add it if he wishes, though. No problem. Just say so and I'll add it.

Cheers.
Tim.

Re: Instrument definition for Tchimera Drumkit

Or perhaps you'd like to keep it in your project instead of including it in MusE,
so that there is no chance of our file version and yours becoming out of sync over time?

Re: Instrument definition for Tchimera Drumkit

Should I go ahead and add the idf to the project repo now?

Re: [compliment for the MusE devs] Nice detail!

Yeah someone filed an issue yesterday informing us that the Pyro4 project has been 'archived' - read-only now. MusE uses Pyro4 for remote control. Now I have to find a way to remove it and/or replace it! I put a lot of work into Pyro4 support. We support what, 6 plugin architectures? And there are s...

Re: [compliment for the MusE devs] Nice detail!

I've thought about how we might someday do that for the piano roll. Device redirection per key, custom keyboard splits, named notes etc. I've told this story before: Way back around 2K when I decided to try linux audio to see if it was mature enough to actually use, only MusE had one feature I found...

Re: compatibility with muse 2

Yes it should. Much care has been taken over the years to ensure that old projects should still load. Caution: You will receive a warning that an old project file version is being loaded and that saving it again may result in changes to bring the song file up to date, after which you might not be ab...

Re: Instrument definition for Tchackpoum Kit

Thanks for your support.

Wondering if we should rename the file, as suggested?
Think of a name and I'll add it to the MusE project.

Thanks for your help @Impostor. You are awesome.
I will try to add it later.

I've been delayed by an emergency. Things may be slow for a bit :(

Re: Audio clips don't play when loop play.

Check if 'Latency Correction' is enabled in Global Settings > Audio > Latency tab. If it is enabled, turn it off (and try restarting MusE). There are known issues with the latency correction and looping, especially with wave parts. Other than that, can you tell me if the audio clips being used are n...

Re: [Solved] Crash with VST effect GUI

From my extensive notes: "FIX: Crashes with open native VST UIs when exiting app, because we delete on close. Removed close() call in VstNativeEditor(), and changed "delete editor" to " editor->close()" in VstNativeSynthIF::deactivate3(). Testing OK so far! TODO: Try testing...

Re: Virtuosity Drums instrument definition for MusE

If you don't mind, I have added your instructions as comments inside the idf file. They read: <!-- The full kit contains some extras the basic kit lacks: snare flam, roll, buzz and some others. --> <!-- The e-drum keymap maps the 1/2, 3/4, and open hihats to a single OH key, controllable with a peda...

Re: MusE: changing soundfont file paths in project

Yes we've had a few complaints here recently if I recall. I took a fresh look at the situation and reviewed how the information is stored today. Our MESS plugin system is similar to others in that each plugin is a library. New ones can be created and old ones removed. And like other systems, each pl...
