Re: Patch changes in piano roll?

Thanks. The small lines in the arranger midi tracks are convenient visuals and can show notes and controllers and more. In the 'Appearance Settings' arranger tab you can control what is shown. 'Show cakewalk style' usually is the most pleasing. (Many of the displayed small fine lines, and some other...

Re: Patch changes in piano roll?

How to program timed controller changes, such as 'patch' (or 'program') controllers: - As you have found, this can be done in a traditional way in the List Editor by clicking the 'Ctrl' button (tool-tip says "Insert Ctrl") which opens a dialog where the type of controller (such as patch), ...

Re: Cannot resize columns

Hm, strange. Usually deleting this file should take care of it, similar to installing from scratch first time: "HOME/.config/MusE/MusE-qt.conf" I should have been clearer, that deleting this file would not normally fix the problem: "HOME/.config/MusE/MusE.cfg" It's the other file...

Re: Cannot resize columns

Hello. Those columns were never resizable. Only the larger columns with text. Occasionally when we add a new column, it might be necessary for users to delete their config file and start from scratch otherwise the columns might become confused or in the wrong place or not resizable. This might also ...

Re: Hanging notes with an external linuxsampler instance.

Hi sorry for the late reply. I will try to replicate but in the meantime could you run with "muse3 -DmM" (debug output, and trace midi in/out events) and post the results of playing the piece(s) of music in question? There will be a lot of output, but I will be able to sift through it look...

Re: Build failure (2) - closed

Hi just a quick note: We no longer 'fall back' to the supplied internal LV2 libraries if the LV2 system libraries are not found. If desired, the internal LV2 libraries must now be explicitly enabled with the cmake flag ENABLE_LV2_SUPPLIED, as shown in the printout. One of the reasons we supply inter...

Re: Build failure

it was looking for version 3.2 of the default template but 3.1 was installed OK thanks. Usually that's nothing to worry about, simply saying that the templates, or your song files, will be upgraded. But in this case it appears that the installation did not go well, since the newer 3.2 templates sho...

Re: Build failure

Hm, textFilter is simply a line edit widget in the shortcut configuration dialog. Should not be any trouble there. I have not seen any trouble. Robert made some changes in that section recently. Are you building from scratch or pulling to update an existing build? Sometimes it is best if an existing...

Re: Default pan

I suppose the terms 'imager', 'pan', 'combiner', 'separator', 'blend', are sort of grey area with some overlap. I guess I was mostly referring to artificial imager plugins (delays etc.), but your recent issue request illustrates that we could at least build in a basic stereo-to-mono 'combiner' (blen...

Re: error message: Sending key 'preset' to UI failed, out of space

Quick postulate: "Out of space" might not mean the same as "Out of memory".
There might only be a certain amount of 'space' reserved for the operation (by whatever is printing that message),
or say, maximum number of such operations or synths etc.

Re: Default pan

The default pan in Muse seems to be basic left and right with no controls for width. I've tried using a stereo width plugin to enhance my string sections, but to no avail. Correct, there's no width control. That is left up to a plugin if desired. Not sure why they didn't work for you. I've used the...

Re: error message: Sending key 'preset' to UI failed, out of space

I'm going to give you a new handle: The Punisher. Delivering punishing tests, ha ha. Wow, that error isn't found in our source, it seems like a system error telling you out of memory or something. It might very well be the LV2 synths (or our encapsulation of them) eating up memory, as logical...

Re: Sends from instrument tracks.

Not quite sure the question but if you mean external hardware (or software) effects then the way to do it is by using an Audio Output track to send, and an Audio Input track to return from the external effect. Then those two track must be inserted into some chain, for example from an existing Wave t...

Re: Quantize

No I do not think so at the moment, unless I have missed something. A few days ago I fixed some quantization stuff in another report, and I remarked that we do not appear to have separate length quantization adjustment - you must 'lump it in' with the positional quantizations in those function dialo...

Re: Problem with loading lv2 presets

Hi, yes I mentioned I had noticed this before, but I had not fixed it yet.

Fixed in git master now.

Tested OK with Helm synth and AmSynth, which have lots n' lots of presets.

Thanks.
