Re: [ANN] Qtractor 0.9.13 - A QStuff* Spring'20 Release batch #3

I've been using Qtractor a lot lately. I'm really happy with how fast and lightweight it is (even on 32-bit machines!).

Thanks for this new release rncbc!

LAC-2020?

Hi everyone,
I haven't found any info yet regarding LAC for 2020. Does anyone know where/when it will be?
Thanks!

Re: Burnout

Thanks to everyone for the posts. I agree that burnout is an important subject in a lot of fields, and computing is no exception! When you think of the amount of concentration and precision that it requires (all it takes is a comma or letter or digit out of place and all goes haywire!), it's importa...

Re: Burnout

Thanks milo,
I enjoyed reading your post and links. Of the stress reduction and recharging, I think we often forget about the recharging part of it.

What kinds of things are good for recharging? Is recharging simply the result of stress reduction?

Burnout

Hi everyone, I thought I'd start a thread where anyone could talk about this important and pervasive problem, as it can happen in just about any field, including programming! Has anyone here experienced burnout, especially in relation to using computers and/or music? What did you do to deal with and...

Re: Wsynth presets (esp. in Qtractor)

@rncbc: It does help, thanks! I've started analyzing .qxt files that I created with Xsynth (which, in 64-bit, provides the dssi gui), and indeed, there are all of the Config page commands that can be added to the .qtx file for full control. (The Qtractor gui doesn't provide the Config page settings ...

Re: amsynth 1.9.0 released!

I just noticed on my LinuxMint 17.3 "Rosa" PC that amsynth in the distros is version 1.3.2-2. :(
I'm aware that my distro is now needing an upgrade to 19, but until a few months ago it was getting regular updates.

Wsynth presets (esp. in Qtractor)

Hi everyone, using Wsynth in 64-bit has been a bit disappointing for me until now. It didn't provide a native GUI as the 32-bit version does, and as such, controlling parameters such as polyphony and monophonic control of legato, etc was inaccessible in hosts such as Qtractor. In other words, some o...
