Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
I'm not sure if i should start a new thread but for those who search using Google and came here and have this same problem and wanted to try the Flatpak version instead while in Fedora, it seems MusE Sequencer seems to stop randomly whenever I do a playback. I have no clue why the Flatpak version ju...

Re: Return automatic focus to the arranger when the pianoroll is closed
Haha, no worries! There has been a mass exodus lately, times and demands have changed and generally people are beyond fickle and my 'give a sh*t' about that is now completely broken and at the end of the day I still have a great system I'm very happy with to use. Please pardon my off-topic question...

Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
I'm going to use a Flatpak version of MusE Sequencer. The only workaround in order to get LV2 plugins to show up is to symbolically link the lv2 directory in /usr/lib64/ and point it to .lv2 directory. I'm okay for now. ln -s /usr/lib64/lv2 .lv2 If i need to do the same for VST, I can do that as well.

Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
Rosegarden is heavily ALSA-based when it comes to MIDI and I may need to check to see if it supports LV2. And yeah, should have been -F because I don't want MusE to automatically populate MIDI ports in the MIDI/Synth settings. I wanted to start with a blank slate. If I start Ardour, Hydrogen, stand-...

Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
Interesting... There is no Fedora 39 in the archives... https://archives.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/releases/ I'll search some other time. Update: Got it! The link to Fedora 39 for testing MusE is here: https://nocix.mm.fcix.net/fedora/linux/releases/39/Workstation/x86_64/iso/ Took m...

Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
Qtractor opens in a snap no problems in Cinnamon. For my use-case, I only care about MIDI and MusE is the best MIDI editor there is when it comes to workflow. I bounce them down into Ardour once I'm done with music production in MIDI so I can do some audio mixing. I like that MusE is very heavily ke...

Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
(Just want to make a new post.) I tried switching over to GNOME and MuSE won't start. Installed KDE Plasma Desktop 6.1.4 and now MuSE starts! I switched back to Cinnamon and MuSE does not start. I do not know what is going on after I switched away from Arch to Nobara Linux. Update: I switched back t...

Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
Lowercase or uppercase for the first letter of style name, I tried 3 different styles and it won't start. Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
Oh, I kind of thought that the desktop environment may not have any significance. Mine is a Cinnamon desktop environment. Mine is Cinnamon 6.2.9 ( cinnamon --version ). If only there's an inline code block similar to Markdown's . phpBB felt very ancient to me for some reason... Update: Seems phpBB d...

Re: Nobara 40 and MuSE 4.2.1: Cannot Register Existing Type 'GtkWidget'
I want to use either Yoshimi in MuSE 4. So if starting MuSE 4 won't work when installing from the Fedora repositories, then I'll have to recompile MuSE and disable GTK2. I'll give that a try then. Update as of 5:45 Eastern Time: The following components WILL NOT be built: ---------------------------...

Re: Accidentally Maximized MusE's Transport Panel? Press F11 Twice To Restore The Transport Panel
I'm not sure if it's a bug with the floating transport panel or not.
That one gave me a laugh! ![]()
And I put that tip all in my thread's subject! ![]()

Accidentally Maximized MusE's Transport Panel? Press F11 Twice To Restore The Transport Panel
Here's the screenshot: musetransportpanelmaximized.jpg This is MusE version 4.2.1. Apparently, when I opened up the music sequencer, logically I thought the main music sequencer is in focus, but the transport panel automatically puts itself in focus and I did not pay attention to the MusE's title ba...

Re: Upmix From 2-Channel Input and Output 3-Channels (Upmix)
But which plugin will allow me to do that in Carla? How do I send a mono signal from a stereo source to the center channel and leave only the left and right channel sent to the respective outputs? In other words, how do I make it so that I pan from the left speaker to the center speaker and right sp...
