Re: Ubuntu 19.10 To Drop 32-Bit x86 Packages

Right. I'm not confusing 32-bit hardware with 32-bit software. Reading back from my first post, I do mean software, as in 32-bit VST plugins. I'm not sure if the Fedora and OpenSUSE team will follow suit, either, let alone Debian.

Ubuntu 19.10 To Drop 32-Bit x86 Packages

Source: Phoronix
https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page= ... 32-bit-x86

Anyone who uses 32-bit VST plugins with Wine should know that support for 32-bit packages will be removed in 19.10. This is before 20.04 LTS.

I wonder if Arch Linux developers will follow suit?

Re: Editing several MIDI tracks at the same place

It's been so long that the thread had been resurrected from +4 years ago. Well anyway, there areuse-cases where I only want to see only the notes I'm working on in MusE Sequencer. Would be nice to have a checkbox that shows the entire track.

Re: MIDI sequencer with piano roll and audio export function

MusE-Sequencer is by far my favorite MIDI sequencer. Using a pencil ("d" key) tool makes it easy to create a clip. By default, MusE opens up a notation editor, so if you go into preferences, you can change the default double-click to Piano Roll editor. You can right-click and choose "...

Re: linuxaudio.org compromised - 2018-01-29

I saw the subject "linuxaudio.org compromised" and I was thinking "...again?" until I look at the date. In the future, I would suggest anyone create a new thread and reference this thread as a link. Discourse has the ability to let anyone create a new topic in reference to this t...

Re: Poll ZynAddSubFX new UI

It will take some time for users who use an old NTK UI to learn a new ZynAddSubFX UI, so I'd keep it in Git for a couple of months. Or maybe call it "ZynAddSubFX-Fusion" package for the new UI, but "-git" is fine. I would like to think of an analogy for the Windows world. It's li...

Re: linuxaudio.org compromised - 2018-01-29

I wish I could give you a +1 for the mention of "OpenStack" but I know I have to stay in topic. I guess it's just way too human nature to change subject at well. My mom did that as I was so in focus in the subject and when I was unprepared for the change of subject, I was like "huh?&q...

Re: linuxaudio.org compromised - 2018-01-29

OpenStack!!! That is something I'd like to learn in near future. This could be interesting for setting this up in my home environment even if people would tell me that is overkill as if an Ubiquiti UniFi 48-Port 500W PoE is overkill (48-port will be used for 4 video cameras, in-wall tablets, and a D...

Re: linuxaudio.org compromised - 2018-01-29

I am CompTIA A+ certified, but not Linux+ certified despite having lots of experience with Linux at home. It would be nice if I could be of help, but I'm from Florida. I took the exams at World Services for the Blind and got a 795 for CompTIA A+ 220-901 and 803 for A+ 220-902. Anyway, I hope all the...

Re: My wish for ZynAddSubFX: Grouped Drum Kit

I've created a ticket for ZynAddSubFX. I tried to use "graysonpeddie" as my username but that must have been far too long ago that I've forgotten how long it's been since I've created an account. But since I can't remember the password, I've had to create a new account so I can open a tick...

Re: My wish for ZynAddSubFX: Grouped Drum Kit

Right. Kick and snare can overlap. But when it comes to open hi-hat, think of the stick hitting the hi-hat that is open, but then the pedal is pressed to play a pedaled hi-hat; thus, stopping the tail of an open hi-hat. Each kit can have its own group number. For example, the open, pedaled, and clos...

Re: My wish for ZynAddSubFX: Grouped Drum Kit

The only thing I'm not new to is downloading programs from SourceForge and that's about it, so let's just say I'm new to just about everything else in SourceForge, including creating my new account for it. I'm going to call it a night.

Thanks. I will register whenever I get the time to do so.
