Re: Arch based audio distro

Do you have a folder /etc/sysctl.d or something close? If so, inside that folder create a file custom.conf , and put the lines in. I have been using the set below for a while, optimizes a number of things: net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling=1 net.ipv4.tcp_workaround_signed_windows=1 net.ipv4.tcp_sack=1 net...

Re: Arch based audio distro

I've been using Manjaro, xfce4 variant, for a while. Its default kernel is running 1.7ms latency nicely at 96 kHz with a Mackie Onyx Artist. realtimeconfigquickscan for tweaking. I like the advantages of a very large community distro, and yet it adjusts for low-latency audio very quickly. One could ...

Re: Audacity and FFMPEG/LibAV under Arch Linux

So far as I have been able to tell, libavformat.so.52 does not exist from current Arch repos and AUR. .53 is the only version which appears available. Any ideas?

Audacity and FFMPEG/LibAV under Arch Linux

I am running a fully-updated Arch Linux, and have found that its current Audacity requires libavformat.so.52 if it is to use FFMPEG/LibAV libraries. But I have found only libavformat.so.53 available from both repos and AUR. Anyone know what to do?
