Re: Restore Ardour session to its original state

You might have better luck with the Ardour forum... But you are sure you did a "Save As" and not a snapshot, right?

For future reference, that perhaps would have been a better idea, as you can revert to previous snapshots easily.

Re: OverTone DSP PTM-5A Mid-Range EQ V3.0.0

Now we just need some sales... Come on linux musicians (or Windows and Mac users), its FREE to download and try - and only £20 to buy. Free updates and support, no extra hardware required, and most importantly, its a native Linux plug-in that actually works I must agree. Unless one has a commitment...

Re: Drum Triggering

OK, I had reported these crashes and sadko4u fixed the problem. See https://github.com/sadko4u/lsp-plugins/issues/28

I assume the fix will be in the next LSP release. Or you can get the git branch with the fix (from the link above).

Re: U-he Diva, and Repro 50% off courtesy of Native Instruments sale lasts 13 more days

FWIW: I bought the whole bundle (it was not the right time to spend this much, but 60% off is hard to pass) and, of course, it works just fine with Linux and there are "no strings attached" (as per my question above). And, I must say, these are really, really great plugins. Thanks glowrak ...

Re: Airwindows package in KXStudio repos

That's weird... The following command should list the files in the package:

Code: Select all

apt-file list airwindows

put the output is empty... So, maybe this package has no content.

Maybe you could try to contact FalkTX...

Re: SMDrums v3 + Round Robins

Ah, I see. Thanks for the instructions! I'd be nice if one could make a DrumGizmo kit out of it. But I will give it a try soon.

Thanks again for sharing this!

Wow! Any "strings attached"? I mean, do you need some NI hardware or software to buy it?

Re: SMDrums v3 + Round Robins

I'm sorry if I am being obtuse here, but is SM Drums this: https://smmdrums.wordpress.com/ If so, I am not sure what you mean by: All you have to do is extract the root of the zip file in the Samples directory of SMDrums and you're done. It doesn't seem to be a software. How do we use it? (Again, so...

Awesome! I can't wait to try it!

Is it a preamp emulation or does it also emulate the power amp?

Re: Dragonfly Hall Reverb

Yes, I have 2 instances loaded with different settings. Oooh, I really think we might be onto something here. Really for real this time! I used Dragonfly in a recent Renoise project. And somehow the plugin has some issues. There is some kind of "feedback noise" generated by Dragonfly some...

Re: Using Round Robin Samples in Drum Gizmo

I've been thinking about getting some commercial drum samples to try for a while, but would like to stick with DG. Would using DGPatchMaker and a kit from DrumDrops make the conversion (mostly) straightforward? (I definitely don't want to spend the money if I can't use it, of course...) Depends on ...

Re: MOD Devices sponsors Linuxmusicians.com

[snip] I don't want to rely on a project that is so fragile that it can be killed with a debate about a well-intentioned 120px ad on a forum. I hope he is doing OK personally. Well, I think we (myself included) should be more careful in making assumptions on why falkTX left. As his break from KXStu...

Re: Using Round Robin Samples in Drum Gizmo

Analogue Drums has an area for user-submitted mappings for unofficially supported software - was thinking of at least sending mine in to them when complete. Wonder if some of the sites that make sample packs would be willing to donate sample packs to the DG project in exchange for outsourcing build...

Re: MOD Devices sponsors Linuxmusicians.com

I'm sorry to reopen the wound here, but after a few months passed, I feel that falkTX clearly leaves a huge whole in this forum. He was very responsive, provided great (general) support and technical information, and was very active as a moderator (quickly dealing with discussions that were derailin...

Re: Focusrite Scarlett Second Generation

Hello, i want to buy a Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen to use it in ubuntu and audacity to record vinyls. But what scared me a bit is that on the third page someone wrote: "What was unexpected is, that turning the gain knob didn't seem to have any effect on the recording levels". Do other people con...
