Re: NEW! Plugin Scanner 'sandbox'.

OK, I've tried to compile today: I've done a clone (git clone https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse.git), then entered the muse3 directory and ran the compile_muse.sh script (which always worked in the past). But it fails to compile: [snip] Scanning dependencies of target lv2_support [ 14%] Buildin...

Re: Dragonfly Hall Reverb

Hey everybody, for a while I've been working on an overhaul to Dragonfly's interface. I found it annoying that I couldn't navigate around the presets and watch the spectrogram at the same time. Also I've added the three "hidden" parameters to the interface, so there are no secrets anymore...

That's really great news, especially that the all are now open source! Thank you so much for this invaluable contribution! These are really great plugins.

Re: Zyn and Ardour

Thanks, lilith! Although I've done some more experiments, and I think we can rule out Zyn, and it also happened to Yoshimi. I've replaced Zyn with the git version (from KXStudios) and the interface popped up instantly, as it was usual. So, I think there was something going on with the other version....

Zyn and Ardour

I've spent a lot of time this morning setting up some Zyn patches for MIDI tracks in Ardour. The first thing I noticed (I hadn't used Zyn in a while) was that when opening ZynAddSubFX LV2 plugin in Ardour, I would get a blank screen for a few seconds, a lot longer than it used to, before the usual Z...

Re: Muse not running

First, there is a dedicated Muse forum here. You might have better success there.

But what version is it? You can check with:

Code: Select all

apt policy muse

FWIW, I could not get muse version 2 to work. I had to build muse3 from source, which was not too bad at all and works great.

Re: New GxCreamMachine.lv2

OK, sorry for the probably dumb questions: 1) Could some one shed some light on how to make a amp sim (using the GxCreamMachine)? Tone Stack -> CreamMachine? 2) By the way, Tone Stack is a preamp? 3) I only remember seeing a JCM800 preamp in Guitarix, but would be expected to run Preamp -> Cream Mac...

Are there any plans to replace the 4000 series with a new version?

Re: Recording small wind band

I program drums with MIDI. Do you program these tracks with Ardour, or do you use a different sequencer for the percussion tracks?[/quote] I've used Ardour in the past, and it seemed less problematic doing percussion with it than other instruments. But I usually use Muse for MIDI. I like their edit...

Re: Recording small wind band

To start out, I'm considering arranging a backing track with virtual instruments to fill in the gaps. I think percussion and an acoustic bass would suffice, but I have no experience arranging virtual percussion. If I understand correctly, the two major options on Linux are hydrogen and drumgizmo. C...

Also FWIW, the new version *continues* to work for me. (The previous version worked, and this new one did not break anything.)
