Re: SlowMP3

Thanks for your replies - got it working! I have used audacity for slowing stuff down, and for changing the pitch (very useful for backing tracks for my schools!), but I like SlowMP3 very much for the keyboard that shows the notes being played - it cuts lots of corners when transcribing! Thanks agai...

SlowMP3

I've been using SlowMP3 in Windows for a while, which is extremely useful for transcribing stuff - however, all my other music software is in Linux, so I wanted SlowMP3 for Linux (Ubuntu 10.10) as well. I have found it and downloaded the .jar file, but I cannot fathom out how to install it or use it...

Hello from London

Hi - I'm mostly an instrumental music teacher, working in London, teaching mainly whole class stuff in primary schools. In a former life I was a working musician (classical). I've been using Linux (Ubuntu) for some time now, and like it a lot. I've also been using Musescore for some time as an alter...

Re: tuplets

Aaah! - thankyou!

I did a snare drum segment in musescore and exported it as a midi file, then popped it into LMMS. For some reason (probably me not paying attention), it turned into a piano file, but that was easily remedied

Many thanks

tuplets

hello -

I've just started getting to grips with LMMS, initially to start making backing tracks for my work as a music teacher.

Can anyone tell me if one can do tuplets in a 4/4 track? - I want to give a swing to a drum track

Many thanks

Chris

jack audio

Hello - First of all, many apologies if I'm posting this to the wrong place. I'm going absolutely crazy trying to get Jack Audio working - I've been using Linux (Ubuntu) for a couple of years, and have recently upgraded to Ubuntu Studio and Ubuntu 11.04. I specifically want to get to grips with Rose...
