Re: THR MB-Control

I think this post should go in the Marketplace since it concerns closed-source commercial software. Also, its webpage does not list linux support.

Re: The Superpiano

A little postscript to this strange episode: I quite liked the samples and sent "sofia-m" a little coffee money. Of course, I was a bit embarrassed when the samples were revealed to be from Pianoteq. To my amazement the other day I got a message that my coffee money had been refunded! So w...

Re: My free SFZ pianos 2.0 stable release

Thanks so much for these pianos they are all very good. I've already downloaded all the beta versions and wonder if the version 2 SFZs can be downloaded separately to avoid having to download all the samples again (unless that should be done since if you updated the samples). Thanks.

Re: The Superpiano

Concerning Pianoteq audio input for resonance, I believe this is only a feature of the plugin, not the standalone. Not so weird after all.

Re: Rivai D'Arsiè Steinway 2.0 BETA

Wow, thanks for another great piano. Playing it with sfizz, works perfectly. I play it using Pianoteq to provide sympathetic resonance as described in this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PNPVl3ZAsbY (except for the Waves plugin part, don't know of an equivilant plugin in linux). Everything is h...

Re: The Superpiano

Getting back to my comments about the issue that for Bb5 and above the notes are very short which makes the piano sound like a marimba. This was using Sfozando. I tried the suggestion you pointed out to set the Damping to <40% (which I found in the sforzando Effect tab under FX type "Ambience&q...

Re: The Superpiano

The piano samples sound very good. I have found a problem in liquidsfz, however - if the sustain pedal is down and play 1 or more notes and the you release the pedal, the notes continue to play which they should not. However if you play and hold down a note then hit sustain, then release notes, then...

Re: Neural Record

This is slightly off topic, but I thought Audio Assault plugins generally have linux versions. Looking at their website, https://audioassault.mx, I don't see anything called bassgrinder, however.

Re: GxPlugins v1.0 released

On AVL-MXE 21.1 I got this error trying to install the deb file with gdebi: dpkg-deb: error: archive 'gxplugins_1.0_amd64.deb' uses unknown compression for member 'control.tar.zst', giving up I installed the zstd package but this did not help. I then tried the suggestion ark gxplugins_1.0_amd64.deb ...

Re: AV Linux MX Edition Released!

I'm not completely sure, but its likely the gnome packages are not installed. So fire up synaptic and install them (likely will be many MB) and then gnome will probably be listed on the splash screen after you restart X (i.e. log out/in or restart)
