Re: Hydrogen + sequencer running: HOW?
You might want to do your connection tests with phasex synth. I tested the connection with Hydrogen. Testing with another synth is double now isnt it? Some zynaddsubfx installs don't open connections where they should. I wonder why. Maybe I shoudl add some lines to certain sripts. As far as I under...

Re: Hydrogen + sequencer running: HOW?
I have another question concerning the wave out device settings. default is /dev/dsp/ but I myself have no /dev/dsp/ directory.
is there any way I can detect where the directory path of my M-Audio device is so I change these wave out settings.

Re: Hydrogen + sequencer running: HOW?
OK I started Jamin. I added Zyn;I saw the meters and indicators become green.
But I still have no output. Output in Jamin can only be done by system.
Shouldn´t Jamin give my soundcard as output?
What is meant with system as ouptut actually?

Re: Hydrogen + sequencer running: HOW?
I understand that this is the way it works.
Except in my connections screen I do not see ZYnadd appearing in the left Outpu, Audio, Midi or Alsa tab.
Further I do not see an Alsa input possibility on the right side.
I have made some screen shots about my connections tab:

Re: Hydrogen + sequencer running: HOW?
OK, I connected it the way you said, but I get no sound. I made a screencap of the Patchbay window.
You also see a hydrogen connection which does work.

Re: Hydrogen + sequencer running: HOW?
Ah well an advice for another distro. :? I might do that in the future. :) But at this moment I'm working on this version and as long as there is support for Ubuntu Maverick 10.10 I hope to get it all working. Ardour is not necessary for me in as long as I can export a *.wav. :!: Anyone go...

Re: Hydrogen + sequencer running: HOW?
Ok I had hydrogen running a few beats. The connection with ardour did not work. I followed a plan I read in a jackclt manual for connecting hydrogen to ardour. but ardour gave the following output [INFO]: Loading session /home/jacco/sessie-test-hydro1 using snapshot sessie-test-hydro1 (1) Loading hi...

Hello I am back
I started with ubuntu 10.10 in march 2011 on a 8GB flash stick. I managed to get my soundblaster M-AUDIO fast-trackpro running and tested zynadd and jackd and ffado. that was 8 months ago then I switched to Windows -DAW again. (because I had recently bought the M-Audio) So now Im here again after an...

Or did it change meanwhile? Can someone provide me ...
