It could be, not sure yet. There's no ethernet port like with the AVB models, so if there is a web interface, it's got to be tunneled over USB somehow.

MOTU 828 (2024)
tldr it works and works well Been using this for a few weeks plugged into a Ryzen 5950X (x570 chipset) system. Ran it briefly plugged into an Intel 11th gen laptop as well. Kernel 6.7.2, working well with both JACK and Pipewire (Pro Audio profile). Shame about the lack of AVB but it's more than enou...

Re: LV2 vs CLAP
I have to say having the framework explicitly separate the UI from the DSP sounds like an awfully good thing. Being able to _reliably_ have collections of headless DSPs would inspire all kinds of collaborations and compositions, such as a web interface that conglomeratively(new word) manages multip...

Re: CLAP: The New Audio Plug-in Standard
What concerns me is that all this really tells me is that you've made the simplest part of making a plug-in even simpler. Writing a plug-in that does anything useful is complicated (especially if you want a custom GUI - which is one of the most awkward aspects of Linux plug-in development, and as f...

Re: I know two people who died from Sars-CoV-2, do you know anyone?
I understand you. This is why folks, families and children need to be protected from people like you. god i'm just imagining the kind of dumb shit you'd be saying if we were on the cusp of any of the other major medical revolutions that have happened throughout history "can you even BELIEVE th...

I can understand, though, that you may be impressed by injection products if you are weak, your family is weak, you visit regularly the doctor, have manic depressions, eat shitty foods, do just about no exercise, and the like. i bench press your deadlift and i am getting the vaccine as soon as it i...

Yeah it seems like this approach was a dud. I've got another theory I'm investigating but nothing concrete yet.

Re: Ultralite AVB
1. One new thought on the differences: how is your motu 828es configured? In my case I have: - 6 "Computer to MOTU" channels ("From USB"). - 14 "Motu to Computer" USB channels. Actually, here's a thought – in the device web interface what do you have your "Host bu...

Re: Ultralite AVB
ok, but before we give it up entirely, just let me ask a few pendantic questions (as a novice!!), just to be sure: 1. Is the dmesg about the "clock source 1 is not valid, cannot use" at all related to the drifting? Not from what I can tell. That also shows up on my system and I don't have...

Re: Ultralite AVB
@wrl: any ideas what may be going wrong at my end? Any ideas what may be different at your end? Man, this sucks. I'm observing the same things you are about the duplicate endpoints and clock source: [ 1.177019] usb 3-2: new high-speed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd [ 1.324255] usb 3-2: config 1...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Alright, sounds good. Yeah, I wouldn't want you to be in a situation where you had upgraded to a new firmware in anticipation of this patch, found it didn't work, and then couldn't downgrade. If you're able to downgrade then I think you're in the clear.

Re: Ultralite AVB
I am running firmware 1.3.4+558 on my device (Utralite AVB non-ESS) right now.. Do I need to upgrade to newer firmware to get the usb protocol up to date ?? I will try to get my system running with the new kernel as soon as I applied the patch and built it successfully /Anders If that's still befor...
