Re: Bitwig 1.0 is out!
For the record, I have an Akai LPK25 and a Behringer BCF2000 working well in BW. I'm on version 1.0.7 now, but I've had the controllers working for a while. I had to write my own script for the LPK, a simple enough task. The BCF was recognized automatically. I can play BW's instruments and VSTi plu...

Re: Bitwig 1.0 is out!
I asked here since this is probably the easiest place to find answers. I've from time to time tried to see if the newer versions of the demo work, but there's always the possibility that someone else has managed to get stuff to work using a tweak. If I can't get the basic things like midi input/outp...

Re: Bitwig 1.0 is out!
I am just not getting my midi devices working with Bitwig. In the first releases I couldn't really get sound working with jack, but it got notes from my midi controller and played them until the alsa sound engine crashed. Now I can get sound out with jack, but I'm not getting anything from my midi d...

Re: Bitwig 1.0 is out!
Hmm. I selected both inputs and outputs. Maybe that's it.falkTX wrote:I selected JACK as audio driver, then on the outputs selected "system". Inputs is blank (None).
No issues regarding audio yet.
Any problems with midi devices?

Re: Bitwig 1.0 is out!
If I use alsa I can use midi devices and get sound out. But then the sound engine seems to periodically hang for a while...
@falktx: How did you get it to work with jack?

Re: Bitwig 1.0 is out!
@Johannes: I didn't get sound working without resorting to the jack pulsaudio sink. The think is that I don't get any sound out of it through the sink, but only if I then manually connect the bitwig outputs to my outputs... Oh, and I don't seem to be able to use any of my midi devices even if I can ...

Re: Plugin for multiplying voices into a choir
That would work, but it would be a lot of work... I was hoping that there was a plugin in which you could sit and tweak a lot of parameters until you got it right... Oh well.

Plugin for multiplying voices into a choir
Does anyone know of either a technique to use which might accomplish this or a plugin which works for Linux?

Re: Novation Launchpad, anyone?
I tried using it with seq24, it's just to get started. You have to write a configuration file with the midi mapping though. What I did (but lost, since my laptop was stolen and I didn't have a backup) was to put mididings in between seq24 and the launchpad so to keep track of playing patterns (toggl...

Linux music software adoption?
I wonder what this will do for the adoption of music software usage on Linux:

What do you think? Would a lot of people ditching Windows because of gaming lead to a big uptake in the Linux music community?
