Re: Zoom R8/R16/R24
Apparently they do but I've been trying to get a working config with my R8 all day today with no luck. Audio output seems fine (tested through speaker-test) but input is distorted and glitchy.

Headless plugin host (LV2)
I've currently got an RPi running jackd+sooperlooper and its doing a fantastic job. I wanted to run some simple LV2 plugins (mostly ArtyFX) from the individual loop track outs so I could try some cool stuff like sidechaining with Ducka. The RPi is headless, so I'd need some way of controlling the ef...

Re: Non Sequencer and NSM
Just wanted to mention the non-suite Arch package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/non-suite-git/
Would be great for people to test it out.

Is that surprising? SDL doesn't have C++ bindings as standard.nedko wrote:You implemented the SDL GUI in plain C? Do you have a screenshot to show? Do i understand correctly that you didnt use C++ but only plain C?

Re: Rakarrack - Completely unusable
I've been testing out some other bits of software to see if there's any issues: Guitarix - fine Yoshimi - fine but haven't tested effects (which I think rakarrack is based on) Din (dinisnoise) - nope, unclean sound, crackles a lot but possibly a graphics issue (according to the FAQ) Sooperlooper - f...

Re: Rakarrack - Completely unusable
Well not really because this isn't just normal high-gain noise. This is some sort of feedback because the input and output meters of rakarrack max out even with the faders down. (How does the input meter go up, my guitar isn't producing any noise!) Also the effects that are causing this aren't disto...

Don't think this exists.
The hard part in something like this is clean conversion of frequency to pitch which isn't always so easy.

Re: Rakarrack - Completely unusable
It's more likely I'm just completely misusing a lot of the effects. What is more worrying is the horrifying feedback and oscillation I'm getting -- that never used to happen in previous versions and it actually makes any sort of music making impossible because I'm scared to use my headphones. I'll t...

Rakarrack - Completely unusable
Using rakarrack is impossible for me and I'm not sure why. These are the issues I'm having: Certain effects cause a terrible digital oscillation when turned on (even without input) that destroy my eardrums (Echo. Lots of effects just sound harsh, buzzy and awful. The input isn't clipping and the out...

Re: Non Timeline: Export
True, but it could be handy for a quick stereo/mono mixdown, for emailing to someone or whatever.
It would just route all unmuted tracks to a new one and bounce.
Anyway, I would be fine with the manual routing, so it might be worth just getting rid of the menu option since it's not doing anything.

Re: Non Timeline: Export
Can't seem to make this work: Project > Export > Project/Range. Does nothing. Checked Documention, no mention of Export function. Just wondering if I'm missing something simple(entirely possible). Not implemented. Just create a track called Export (might want to set the recording file type to f32 i...

Re: Usefull file "player" ( ADSR, pitch)
Is there a problem using LMMS? If it's perfect for your needs why use anything else? It's MIDI capable and everything. Unless you need good JACK support, in which case I'd try Rui's samplv1 (search for vee one suite).

Re: Cadence questions
So was there a solution to the multiple-devices thing? I'm on a laptop and use USB interfaces so it would be pretty handy.
