Re: unfa wish to say hello and give some praise
Seems like this thread's a little dusty, but I'd like to say thanks for inspiring the young(er) and share my story: My journey using FLOSS (not only) for music production started in 2008, when I was a trainee. Two years later I joined this forum. 2013 was definitely a boost, when I decided to quit m...

Re: Libre Music Challenge #4: Listen to the muzak
Thanks for the submission, can you please provide a download url which doesn't need an account to download a file? tia Rob Sorry for the delay. I don't come here often as I've founded a new project and wanted to leave all the zwenny-stuff behind. You can download my song without an account here: ht...

Re: Libre Music Challenge #4: Listen to the muzak
Hi, after a long time I came across this forum by a local open source audio meeting ( OSAMC ) and decided to contribute a song from my eleven piece mosaic album released on Jamendo back in 2018: Silent Struggle I always felt like this could be played in malls, elevators and waiting rooms. Although t...

Re: Tempo changes in hydrogen and ardour: Klick and tempomap
Many thanks for this, Pablo! I'm working with a similar method derived from your post here. If everyone care: I've written a blog article about using klick2ardour.py in one's workflow. It could be interesting for the German-speaking linux musicians among us. The article was deleted, as i was relaun...

Anyone experienced with aptosid and Pro Audio?
Just got a new notebook and took that adventure as a chance to find a new distro. So i am now an aptosid-user and need to reconfigure my dream of a daw on it. I've also switched back from XFCE to KDE. Has anybody experience with this distro? Are there important changes in KDE 4.3?

There has been some work since then. Have a look at it's wikipedia page.Guernica wrote:Oh and @zwenny - I tried Rosegarden maybe 2-3 years ago. Has it changed a lot since then?

Looking for a job with music and linux
I was wondering if there are jobs or educations in the music section where you are working with linux. Currently i'm an IT specialist, but i'd like to combine my music and linux know-how in a job. If somebody knows which job could join these things, please let me know! So far i've thought about stud...

Re: How to get samples/sounds?
Where does everyone get their sounds? I am not opposed to paying money for them. Don't know if i got your intention, but if you need guitar samples (electric, acoustic, 12-string, etc.) and don't mind that i'm not a studied musician, you can ask me a favor. If you are looking for some online collab...

Non-DAW
Is somebody working with it? Are there packages available?
How good does it work with other jack driven applications and how good is it in contrast to ardour?
Can you do beat and tempo changes within a project (like you do in ardour with klick2ardour)?
