Re: Making M-Audio Oxygen 8 (Mini-Keyboard) run under Linux

Thanks for your suggestions. Actually got it to work by simply installing packge midisport-firmware... Glad to hear it. I should have known to suggest that as I had to install it for my M-Audio Uno MIDI interface, but it was actually mentioned in the first post of this thread. Oh right... I ...

Re: Making M-Audio Oxygen 8 (Mini-Keyboard) run under Linux

Hello!

I got an old Oxygen8 as a present from a friend who figured he didn't use it in years.
When I plug it in, it doesn't show up neither in qjackctl nor in kmidimon... Any suggestions? Maybe the keyboard is setup in a strange way?

Re: I can't see qjackctl anymore!

Yes I also tried re-installing it with an older version, didn't help. I use the newest Ubuntu version now again, it's 0.3.4-0ubuntu4.1, running it from terminal gives me no odd messages, in fact, it doesn't give any messages. Nevertheless I figured out then when I run qjackctl and then click on the ...

I can't see qjackctl anymore!

Hi! I have a strange problem: When I start qjackctl, it starts and it also starts jackd but I can't see the window anymore. When I click on the appeared icon in the panel, nothing happens, neither at right- nor at leftclick. This is really bad because now I can't really choose between diffferent sou...

Re: Measure Frequency Response of a Filter

Ok, good. I was thinking about Japa too, could you possibly explain the store function to me if you know how that works? I have an oscilloscope too but not the storage-type so I don't really know how to use that for measuring a frequency response... But of course I can seek for weird noises inside m...

Measure Frequency Response of a Filter

Hi there! I have a question concerning an analog filter I want to make. I'm quite into electronics and want to design a filter now. I should be able to measure the frequency response somehow to check out the results of my filter in a good way - besides my ears of course :D Does it make sense to simp...

Sorry, but I always thought it's not possible to have 64-bit Ardour with VST support?

Re: Cheap Studio Amp

Yeah, I mean the specs are ok for what I want to have but what I keep wondering about is that none of those cheap amps provides something like a frequency curve or some kind of diagram with the frequency response; so I assume they are all pretty bad (i.e. cheap)... What do you mean exactly with Don'...

Cheap Studio Amp

Hi! I'm planning to buy a cheap end ("kind-of" [in this category I guess]) linear studio amp for my passive monitors. Right now I'm working on an hifi tube amp which sounds super nice but in the end sometimes I want some clean, linear reference to listen to and I don't want it to be headph...

and if you want it all for ardour (vst and lv2), this is the repo: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=17918 Sorry, but how is it possible to have Ardour in 64-bit with VST support? I always thought that's impossible...? Very interesting thread by the way, after finishing my current Ardour pro...

Re: Looking for a decent audio interface ~ €400,-

Hey thanks again for your advices. The alsamixer -c2 did never show me anything more than "no mixing elements here" or something like this... The outcome of jack_lsp is pretty much the same as what I can see in the "Connections" menu of JackCtl. But I figured something out now an...
