[ANN] Qtractor 0.9.15 - An Early-Summer'20 Release

Hi y'all! Let's go straight to the real good news ;)... Qtractor 0.9.15 ( early-summer'20 ) is released! Change-log: - Fixed MIDI tracks export that were missing the end-of-export tail parameter and bailing out always with default SMF format anyway. - Fixed VST3 component/controller inter-connection...

Re: Patchbay and others like it.

Didn't Graph and Carla's Patchbay all come from Patchage? nope. QjackCtl Graph may look like Patchage but it's an entire and completely different code-base (not even one line of code is in common); QjackCtl Graph is mine, all pure C++/Qt, while Patchage/Ganv is a mix of C/C++/gtk/cairo and written ...

Re: Patchbay and others like it.

again i believe you confusing Connections with Graph... yes the later is now shown as the default button on the main widget panel--on new installs that is--but you can get the old Connections button back if you feel more love to it: just turn off Setup > Misc > Buttons > Replace Connections with Gra...

Re: Patchbay and others like it.

dunno whether you're referring to QjackCtl Connections or the Graph... just because the Patchbay looks like the Connections thing it is not going to die anytime soon or ever :) what i can forecast to die a silent death is that creepy Session thing, but no, anything else is going to stay, promised ;)...

Re: [ANN] Vee One Suite 0.9.15 - An Early-Summer'20 Release

- Note velocity doesn't affect DCF envelope anymore. That's quite a significant change from a sound design and compatibility perspective. Is it planned to introduce a Filter Env Velocity Amount control in the future? well, talking about the past, anything below the top velocity level (127) would af...

[ANN] Vee One Suite 0.9.15 - An Early-Summer'20 Release

Hi everyone! Happy to announce the Vee One Suite of so called old-school software instruments, synthv1 , as a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer, samplv1 , a polyphonic sampler synthesizer, drumkv1 as yet another drum-kit sampler and padthv1 as a polyphonic additive synthesizer, are once again relea...

Great idea! Is there a way to swap the CC that the data is assigned to. For example if I have data on CC2 but need to move it to CC1 can I do that with a single action or is it a cut/paste job?
yes, cut (or copy), switch controllers (2 to 1) and paste.

Re: Qtractor Midi controller editing + automation question

Is possible to set qtractor so that when a MIDI note is moved the CC data at the same time as that note is also moved? nope. midi note-on/off and cc events are absolutely independent events. this is so by midi 1.0 spec. not a qtractor constraint whatsoever cheers Thanks for the quick response. ther...

Re: [ANN] Vee One Suite 0.9.14 - A Mid-Spring'20 Release

yes, number 1 at the num block. kind of tautology that gets us nowhere :( I mean it happened when pressing numer 1 on the num block, which makes the track play backwards fast. It makes no sense but it happened when I hit that button by accident and it was reproducible. what is this number 1 on the ...

Re: [ANN] Vee One Suite 0.9.14 - A Mid-Spring'20 Release

Using samplv1 currently in Ardour 6 and getting some crashed from time to time. Here's a backtrace where two instances of samplv1 are loaded when rewinding in Ardour (number 1 on the num block) samplv1 crahses: https://pastebin.com/Sd0bcAPc maybe not the best place for this kind of troubleshooting ...

Re: QjackCtl: USB-interace selection not available

you (or your package delivery) compiled or built qjackctl from source without having ALSA-lib support... please install libasound2-dev package and (or tell to) try again.

Just curious. Maybe you'd like to spread plugins to other non-LV2 DAWs.
like the Mandalorian on Linux, LV2 is the way.
