Re: Maintaining a Real Time Stable Kernel

Ardour does that, you'll find a rt-thread for any track you create in ardour, so, parallel processing is possible when use jackd2. my point is that so called Ardour's rt-thread per track are NOT the same as the jackdmp/jackd2 process cycle real-time thread(s), precisely the ones that make up for it...

Re: Maintaining a Real Time Stable Kernel

actually jackdmp aka jackd2 uses multiple threads/cores *iif* the jack graph takes 'parallel' paths; iow: jack clients that are connected consecutively do always use one and only logical thread/core (might migrate across the several available but that's purely os/kernel/cpu scheduler business, not j...

Re: Drumkv1 does not load samples

hi Tim, note that drumkv1.lv2 takes heavy use of the lv2_worker/schedule and lv2_patch/parameter interface protocols as also with traditional input control port(s) when changing sample elements in either way from a host generic/stock UI and/or from the native Qt/X11/external_ui. otoh. notifications ...

Re: Qtractor Edit cursor forward and backward by grid?

Shame about mouse only, but you're not the only dev to just focus on that. I'll think about how to word a FR, but i have to add Rui, if you can't see the immediate value and common sense in moving the cursor with keystrokes as another workflow option, grid or not, then i'm not sure what i can write...

Re: Qtractor Midi controller editing + automation question

d.healey wrote:Is possible to set qtractor so that when a MIDI note is moved the CC data at the same time as that note is also moved?

nope.

midi note-on/off and cc events are absolutely independent events.

this is so by midi 1.0 spec. not a qtractor constraint whatsoever

Re: Qtractor Edit cursor forward and backward by grid?

I've searched the keystrokes directory, but I can't find actions for moving the edit cursor forward and backward by grid (dependent on selected snap settings). Do these exist? no. if about the infamous qtractor "blue-lines" (aka. edit-head/tail) then, sorry to tell, only the mouse is at h...
