About one third of the hardware on linuxstudiopro is available from zzounds.I try to list all of the hardware that is supported or reported to work, although I have been slacking pretty hard lately due to an intense programming job :)

Yep, mixing with headphones (primarily) is a bad idea for sure! I think that the right pair make a great reference against crappy monitors or a bad acoustic space and also for attending to details such as very precise EQ tweaks and such.

I just finished installing Hardy and the Ubuntu Studio packages. So far I have not had much luck with JACK but the new version of Ardour is looking good! I've only had a few hours to mess around with it so I'll let you know how everything goes.
