Re: Rated Blue "JOY" Album Released!

Hey man, I participate here way to seldom, which saddens me a bit. But, priorities... Anyway, I have listened several times to this and I love it! Good recording, very nice arrangement and playing. I hope you can get it spread a bit wider, it certainly deserves it :) In these weird times I guess gig...

Re: Wave editor: Weird time scale after cut and paste

Yep, it's the master track. I - as a MusE newbie - did not yet care about the master track at all. I understand that changing the signature in the wave editor creates this master track entry. So I abused the signature just to get the 16th grid. Wow can I change the grid in the editors without chang...

Re: Wave editor: Weird time scale after cut and paste

Hi, I got a weird time scale after performing these steps: Set signature from 4/4 to 16/16 Cut seleection Silence this selection Paste selection a little to the left (where the red marker is) The audible output is fine / as expected! Switching the signature back to 4/4 does not fix the time scale. ...

Re: SOLVED: No Synths after copy of MusE binaries to other PC

Some more trial'n'error revealed: And the magic spell is ... sudo apt-get install liblilv-dev So that's a cute bug, cute because there is a simpe workaround. I will report this on github.io too. Alright, that clears it up. I saw you wrote in the ticket that MusE depends on the development package, ...

extending parts

It's been possible for a long time to adjust beginning and end of parts, it has however not worked quite right so it's been hard to use, especially when extending to the left. Now it no longer moves the events when adjusting the left marker. Also, now it works on wave parts, which was the main reaso...

Re: No native GIU for Calf plugins on Ubuntu-20.04

It does work on my upgraded installation. Though since there can be a number of reasons why this differs I went ahead and installed 20.04 in a virtual machine and redid the installation. In the README in the base folder there is an apt command for installing all dependencies, I used that and then bu...

Re: No native GIU for Calf plugins on Ubuntu-20.04

The menu entry "Show native GUI" is grayed out for all Calf plugins. MusE built 24.05.2020 from GIT master branch Calf-pluggins installed from Ubuntu distribution; all dependencies satisfied: > apt-cache show calf-plugins (all dependencies installed) Recommends: gtk2-engines-pixbuf (is also install...

Re: Automation adjustments for Tools->Structure operations

Following this guide: https://medium.com/javascript-in-plain-english/how-to-contribute-to-a-github-repository-project-78f777623f18 I have done steps 1-6. Forked the repos, created a branch named muse-1-python. Then I made the following changes: modified: muse3/share/scripts/CMakeLists.txt deleted: ...

Re: Is there a way to increase apparent keyboard velocity?

Quickly googling that keyboard suggests it has programmable velocity kurves so you could probably adjust on the keyboard how sensitive it should be.

Re: Automation adjustments for Tools->Structure operations

Could this be my first code contribution to MusE? :) Indeed it could :) If you want to go the extra km (then you are all set for coming contributions), you could read up on creating a pull-request for your changes on github. There are some hoops to jump through but it can be a good learning experie...

Re: Automation adjustments for Tools->Structure operations

See README.python about remote python scripting: https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/blob/master/muse3/README.python Also in the main README there is some installation info that differentiates between the simple 'function' scripts and the full remote scripting discussed in README.python. (They a...

Automation adjustments for Tools->Structure operations

The structure operations (Functions->Structure) are very useful but have for a very long time had various stability issues. Tim fixed that up for 3.1 I think. Now one more improvement makes them even more useful as they should adjust automation correctly when cutting and inserting. Available in git ...

Ooo, so many new songs, I can't keep up :D

This one was the best one, very true to the style.

Liked the videos both from this and the other one from archive.org, good reuse of public domain video!

Re: MuSE crash if Linuxsampler loads SFZ?

I sometimes use linuxsampler and have not seen any problems recently. linuxsampler has a VST plugin too I believe, maybe try that? Btw; SFZ seems to be a really odd format; the samples have to be present outside the .sfz: ./Wurlitzer.sfz ./samples/wurly_el_piano up122_b0.wav ./samples/wurly_el_piano...
