Maybe the FluidPlugs? Almost everything is there.

Thanks, I don't have super high hopes for SF2 but will take a look.

Oh, and BTW your music on Soundcloud is excellent! Great performances and productions! :D

Looking for good "Brass section" Library, thoughts?

Hi, I'm looking for a good quality "Brass section" to add some simple horn shots to a couple of tunes, if good enough these may be final in the mix or they may be for illustration purposes if I can line up enough real human horn players. I'm not a horn player or arranger so I'd rather not ...

Re: Anyone able to compile JuicySF soundfont player plugin for Linux

@GMaq @audio2000 https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/multimedia:proaudio/juicysfplugin you can grab the juicysfplugin-full which will install all plugin types, or pick the desired one by picking juicysfplugin-<pluginformat>, like juicysfplugin-vst3 for example Thanks very much for your time and...

Thank you for reply.
As mentioned I am using a Debian based distro so I do not think OpenSUSE items will work for me.

Kott had a repo with some Debian builds, openSUSE has a build service that can build both RPM and DEB, perhaps his Debian builds are still kicking around someplace, let's see...

Re: Anyone able to compile JuicySF soundfont player plugin for Linux

Kott Do you still have binaries for Juicy-SF? Kott is one of the Packagers for OpenSUSE GeekOSDaw project and depending on what Distro you're on he might have something you can use pre-built.. I tried it a few years ago and it was nothing special as I recall but there aren't many SF2 Player Plugins...

Re: pw-jack

Impostor or anyone else using a Debian-based Distro... Are you interested in trying the PipeWire tools from AV Linux, where you can set the quantum and sample rate per session from metadata commands. It's a Deb and should work in Mint, it will also install/require yad for the dialogs. Of course thi...

Re: Sfizz - Question about development

I LOVE projects that are feature complete and are simply ready to use, the endless hamster wheel of updates can be a major diversion to creativity and waste a lot of production time. Sure bugs need fixing and sometimes new features are welcome additions but often especially in the Open-Source world ...

Re: Not really new, just back after a long while...

Hi! Nice to have you with us again, I've been here since 2009 and many people have come and gone, some come back and some don't and often I wonder whether they've moved on to other interests, quit using Linux, or God forbid have been dealing with personal or health issues or worse... Like in all are...

Re: Bitklavier project and wine

Re: Bitklavier project and wine

Hi, you can compile it by yourself, or use packages from here https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/multimedia:proaudio/bitKlavier OT question.. I see Debian 12 builds in there, are you building all the GeekOSDaw stuff for Debian now? I recall you had kind of Debian proof-of-concept Repo a couple...

Where are we at with Wine-Staging and Yabridge? Autumn 2024

Hi,

I always clamp down the Wine versions on my machines to a working version and I'm currently locked down at 9.2 which works well. I'm in no hurry to change but thought I'd see what newer versions people can report working?

Re: pw-jack

If you have a multi-i/o interface your next hurdle will be to assign a "Pro Audio" profile to it with PulseAudio Volume Control so it is not seen as a surround device.. Does doing that have any additional benefits (for my onboard audio chip) apart from channel grouping? I very well...
