Re: Shuriken Beat Slicer 0.4

Greetings, Just a quick note to say that a fresh git pull builds and runs perfectly on Fedora 19 x86_64, with a locally built aubio (also from git sources). Very cool program !Like barbouze, I'm having a blast working with it, and I haven't got past a simple drum loop. Perhaps you should package it ...

Re: For string quartet lovers

Listening to a midi cello file played by No Budget versus Sonatina is like listening to a pro cellist versus a high school student. Seriously. Here's a Vivaldi piece for two cellos, played by both orchestras. You can hear the intonation problems with sonatina. By the end of the piece, the 2 cellos ...

Re: jalv.select

Greetings,

What path and/or environment variable does it read to find its plugins ? I built it successfully on Fedora 19, but it only sees plugins from /usr/lib/lv2. Most of my LV2 plugs are in /usr/local/lib/lv2.

Re: jacklib problem

I'm having a problem with jacklib under python... I'm not a developer, but you might want to look at the Python code in Csound, blue, and athenaCL. http://www.csounds.com/ http://blue.kunstmusik.com/ http://www.flexatone.org/athena.html Note that Python is *not* used as a realtime audio rendering e...

Re: Midi patchbay with preset function?

Is there a way to load different patchbay presets via terminal ? qjackctl --help tells you that the --active-patchbay option will load your selected patchbay at startup. For instance: qjackctl --active-patchbay=pbay4work.xml should load the patchbay definition named pbay4work.xml, assuming the defi...

Re: Dexed updated

the combo-box issue is something I know about, I'll fix it before doing a new release pack. other plugins that use combo-boxes, like klangfalter, have the same issue. Thanks, much appreciated. the black frame is a new dexed issue introduced in 0.9.0. I won't bother with it too much as it's not fata...

Re: Dexed updated

Dexed 0.9.0 from yesterday's DISTRHO git has some problems in Bitwig 1.1.9 : Open the Parm dialog. Click on the Engine Resolution or DX7 I/O selection boxes. Don't make a selection, just click anywhere else in the dialog panel. The plugin crashes, but it restarts without problems. Open the Cart dial...

Re: Linux DAWs - are there any?

It does look good, but apparently it's a MIDI-only sequencer. I couldn't see any support for audio tracks during the video demo.

Re: New Free Synth - Helm - Now in Beta

Greetings, The VST shows no presets in Bitwig 1.1.9, and I don't see a way to load them, only the Save function. I placed the default presets in /usr/local/share/helm/patches, got no joy after a restart of BW. Alas, BW does not currently provide a patch loader, and AFAICT there's no other way to loa...

Re: New Free Synth - Helm - Now in Beta

Greetings,

Builds cleanly on Fedora 19 x86_64, with Planet CCRMA additions. Instantiated in Bitwig 1.1.8 without incident, but untested, didn't have much time last night. I'll check out its performance in BW and Ardour4 later today.

If I can find time I'll try my hand at some presets.

Best,
