Re: Linux Digital Audio and Music Workstation Comparison Matrix

Free/free/shareware: This is confusing, do you mean free as in freedom or price? I don't care about price but I do care about freedom. By the way Ardour and Radium are both commercial. You should use proprietary vs free software to differentiate, the word commercial is not very useful. The only pro...

Re: SF2 positioning questions

No, no matter how small the keyboard is, most likely it will have key 60 in the center.
All keyboards have a +/- octave button.

What you describe is not a problem at all.

Since there is electronics in the keyboard it is also possible to change the mapping, for example by adding or subtracting 12, which results...

Because LADISH is dead since a long time ago. Recommended: If you want full session management use Non Session Manager including the program jackpatch . http://non.tuxfamily.org/wiki/Non%20Session%20Manager If you just want to save jack connections or connect them by pattern matching use one of the ...

Re: Percussion Synthesizer

Maybe you could consider porting or rewriting your plugin with the Disthro PLugin Framework?

https://github.com/DISTRHO/DPF

You would get all kind of plugins formats for many systems, as well as a standalone version. And it also makes the GUI creation simpler.

Re: Audio on Linux The End of a Golden Age

The video is about consumer audio only and deals with the Linux kernel, not Desktop distributions in particular. It has little to no meaning for music production and therefore this forum. The first half an hour is just history of audio in Linux in general: Drivers, kernel integration and finally sou...

Re: Release: Patroneo v1.1 and Fluajho v1.1

I tried to build Patroneo under Mate 18.04 LTS but Nuitka installed from the distrib is not found by ./configure This is the Debian and Ubuntu family, right? You need Nuitka for Python 3 (it says nuitka3 in the configure message). Most likely they don't have that in their repositories. Try this: ht...

It will be public soon again, together with a release. Laborejo is a different piece of software alltogether, much older in bigger i...
