Re: JACK, Hydrogen, Akai MPD226 help

Hi! have you used a midi monitor software to see which midi data your mpd is sending? This would be interesting to know.. I suppose that the midi notes which are send by your device are not matched to the notes which hydrogen would expect. PS: Or just post your console output of those log messages h...

Re: Hydrogen 1.0.0 released

The "Playback Track" looks like a very useful feature. For context, see here: https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/issues/381 The playback track is my favourite feature of this release. It has been a feature request from a user, and it really makes a lot of sense for Hydrogen. A lot of people...

Re: Hydrogen 1.0.0 released

It's been a while since I've used Hydrogen. One irritation used to be that it didn't recognise MIDI CC 7 (channel volume). Is that still the case? IIRC, yes. But Hydrogen has a flexible mapping system where you can create your own midi mappings and automate the usual control interface things (volum...

Re: Hydrogen multi-outputs fail to auto-connect (LADISH or not)

Hi, I can't judge what LADISH does, but having a look at Hydrogen's code, only the connections for the first two ports are saved to the config file, so only those can be restored. This is a bug in Hydrogen. Could you create an issue at our GitHub Issue Tracker ? Session Managers should not be affect...

Re: hydrogen exporting midi

Hi! Yes, at least the h2drumkit is a part of the solution. Let me explain it: Every h2drumkit xml files assigns a midi output value/note number for each of its instruments. As most properties in Hydrogen, those values are saved in the h2song file too, if you create a song with that drumkit. This ena...

Re: hydrogen exporting midi

Hi, since 0.9.7 Hydrogen uses the midi out value for the midi export. Before, hydrogen just took the instrument position + 36. So you should make sure that your kit has the desired midi out values set. We're aware of the fact that this behaviour might be confusing/unclear, and it is on my todo list ...

The new pricing model seems not very friendly to hobbyist users :-/ Hard to understand, especially as they are quite new in the market and there a still quite some features missing..
