Re: Using Hydrogen to play DrumGizmo's DRS Kit

Basically there are 2 places where it is decided which "wav" files is being used. First in H2 each instrument give out a midi note. This note is translated in a wav file by the midi file you load into the DG plugin. This midi file is a plain text file that you can read. You can check if t...

Re: Using Hydrogen to play DrumGizmo's DRS Kit

I use to use the H2-Ardour/DG setup to write or make drum tracks but was using and still using MusE for that. I wanted to just try this setup again with the latest H2 and DG but now the mapping is off. I've loaded the template in Ardour(DG loaded with kit and map), connected H2 and used qjackctl und...

Re: All of a sudden uncontrollable X runs

The problem is solved actually. I booted into the vanilla kernel instead of the real-time kernel and no more X runs.
Thanks Michael's for your answers though.

All of a sudden uncontrollable X runs

Hey everyone, all of a sudden a song I've been working on for the past few weeks started to give me uncontrollable X runs. No Hardware has been changed and no new plugins has been added to the mix. I'm on Arch and on a daily basis I would just do an update to see if there's the latest version of any...

Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.17 Released!

When you open Drumgizmo in Mixbus or Ardour it gives the option to fan the drums out to multiple channels and you can mix the kit. I have created a template for the DRS kit so that I do not have to set up from scratch. Sorry, I do not know how you do this in Muse. yeah I know but it doesn't control...

Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.17 Released!

As a side note or a request, any change of adding a mixer to DG? The DRSKit's hihats are really loud that I only use the overhead track and yet it's still louder that the cymbals. I could lower the hihats by lowering the velocity in the midi events but that's a lot of work. Unless I'm missing somet...

Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.17 Released!

hey guys, did something happen with the DRSKit and the latest DG? I was about to fix a song up I created a while back in MusE. Opened MusE and no sound. I saw that the drum full xml was red. I tried loading again and still the same. Tried a different kit and had no issues. I was able to dup the sam...

Re: LSP Project

before I get into the truble of creating a room (or are there any usefull available to download?) for this: does this treat all frequencies as rays? only frequencies above the Schroeder Frequency behave like that. It doesn't simulate frequencies. It simulates the spreading of the front of the wave....

Re: Sonarworks Headphone Calibration Software

Maybe this is of some use for you: https://github.com/ShanonPearce/ASH-BRIRs Even if it is developed for a windows EQ, the HPCFs been implemented as IR wav files and could be used with any Convolver. Hmm, thanx bro! This got me thinking. Would IR files of good mixing rooms work for headphones? I me...

Re: Download for Linux

The kits were recorded by Vincent (tchackpoum.fr), of his drums. They have no bleed but there are room and overhead buses (both stereo). They sound great. There are 3 sets of toms, 5 snares, a bunch of cymbals, a few kicks...lots of stuff. Kicks have in/out/sub channels, snares have top/bottom chan...

Re: Download for Linux

I think the idea of having a library of beats is useful for some people especially if used as a basis for an idea and/or jamming out something quickly. I seem to work backwards though, wanting the drums to match something so specifically that even using Ezdrummer2's library crammed full of extra MI...

Re: Download for Linux

ugh this runs under wine, I can't drag and drop the midi tracks into Ardour, Reaper.... With this script, you can import the file in Reaper (no drag-and-drop, but it's better than nothing). https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?p=2030985 I stopped using "built in" MIDI in drum plugins a...
