Re: [ANN] Drumrox 3.3.1

Probably a stupid question, but... what are the differences between Drumlabooh and Drumrox? It seems they share functionality, with Drumlabooh being strictly more functional.

I've never used sfz drums. Can they handle hihat chokes and different playing velocities?

The SFZ format supports choke groups, yeah.

Re: PiPedal/TooB Amp Project request for open-license ML and Neural Amp models

Free software should be free like beer. I like that sentiment, but there's a difference between freeware (=software that costs nothing) and free software (=software that respects your freedom to tinker with it). The point of licensing a thing as GPL is to make sure that all derivatives of it can be...

Re: Ratatouille.lv2 v0.6

Unfortunately that requires me to do backward compatibility breakage. That means, old presets wont be able to load the neural models with this new version. Sure you could load them for the settings, but you must load the neural models via the browser and the re-save the preset. According to Semver ...

Re: Focusrite Clarett/Clarett+ USB Linux support

I don't think your question actually relates to your audio device or audio at all. The Clarett support uses the generic USB sound driver which in turn uses the HCD. I'm *guessing* what you're asking about is handled at the level of the HCD only; it's certainly unrelated to the Clarett support. You'...

Re: Focusrite Clarett/Clarett+ USB Linux support

I have a question regarding USB and interrupts. Not sure if this is the right avenue, but it's related to my audio device, so here goes nothing :) I'm connecting my Clarett+ 2Pre to my laptop via a USB3 port, which then of course uses the xhci_hcd driver, which in turn means that there is only a sin...

Re: [SOLVED] Getting ADAT to work with Clarett 2pre+

Ah, I didn't see you edited your post, sorry! Good to see Pavucontrol is working for you. :) Anyway, regarding the CLI stuff: If you're still on Pipewire < 1.0, you're also on Wireplumber < 0.5, which worked differently WRT configuration (it used Lua instead of a JSON dialect). So that's the other r...

Re: Getting ADAT to work with Clarett 2pre+

Thank you so much for your reply! This helps but it seems I am not experienced enough to get the configurations in wireplumber right. I can't find a $home/.config/wireplumber directory, although I do have a /usr/share/wireplumber. I created a new .config file with your script in it, put it in /usr/...

Re: Fedora Pipewire Low Latency Audio Configuration Reference Guide V.1.02

After the recent announcement of the move to TuneD as the new accepted performance governor (Starting with Fedora 41), I added a big red note to myself to update that section of the documentation when the change takes place. They also plan to add a compatibility shim so PPD settings should keep wor...

Re: Getting ADAT to work with Clarett 2pre+

Are you using the Pro Audio profile for your device? I also have a 2Pre and when I switch to that profile, I see all inputs and outputs.

Edit: Here's how to do that via commandline, but (at least in KDE) you can also change the device profile in the audio settings.

Re: New Generic Kernel Configuration News

[reports of confused wailing and general gnashing of teeth] We have an excellent (triumphant guitar solo) thread over here in which xruncounter is used to produce actual numbers. The post I've linked interprets the output of a single xruncounter run and can be used as a starting point for interpret...
